New 5% Household Discount
On May 5, 2014, American Continental Insurance Company (ACI) will begin offering a 5% Household Discount
(HHD) on its Medicare Supplement plans marketed in Arizona. The new discount will apply when two Medicare
Supplement applicants reside (12 months or more) in the same household AND when both policies are issued in
Arizona by the same underwriting company (ACI).

Sales materials have been revised to include a new (dual) application form and Outline of Coverage.
o The revised sales materials will be available for ordering on May 5, 2014; order the new materials
as soon as possible by going to the agent side of aetnaseniorproducts.com or by calling Agent
Services.
DO NOT use the new forms prior to May 5, 2014; a dual application dated prior to May 5, 2014 will not be
processed and will be returned to the agent.
As of May 5, 2014, start using the new dual application form as soon as possible - even if there is only one
person applying for coverage (and where the discount will not apply).

The single application form (ACIMS01066AZ) will expire on June 15, 2014; all new applications dated after
June 15, 2014 must use the new (dual) application form (ACIMS01999AZ).
Existing ACI policyholders in Arizona can apply for the household discount (on future premiums) by
completing the Household Discount Eligibility request form (#CGFLP01839).
Agent commissions and qualification toward sales incentives (for new business) are based on the
discounted premium.
