The FA Licensed Boys Player Development Centre came to a fitting conclusion, as the end of
Season presentation was held at the awe inspiring St Georges Park in Burton.
The coaches, supplied by our official travel partner – Bluebird Coaches, left the County at the crack
of dawn, carrying excited players and parents/spectators smoothly to the ultimate football venue.
Upon arriving, the players stretched their legs with a tour around the facility, followed by a formal
presentation in the ‘dugout’ that included all players being presented with Certificates for their
achievements throughout the Season, and also the Players Player awards.
The players then made their way to the full size indoor 3G pitch, where they enjoyed a variety of
coaching sessions led by the St Georges Park coaches, with sessions based around The FA’s Future
Game and based upon decision making and technical/tactical proficiency.
After the session, the players had time with their respective age group coaches on the pitch where
they played a number of small sided matches.
After a long and exhausting day, the coach journey home was relatively quiet, but overall a day that
will live long in the memory of all attending!
