About the project
Lithuanian Youth Council (LiJOT) in cooperation with National Youth Councils of Latvia, Estonia, Finland,
Norway, Germany and Poland is implementing a project called „Work2Change“, aimed at analyzing the
most important youth issues. 2 seminars were already implemented. 1 evaluation meeting for National Youth
Councils’ representatives is planned. The project is quality-orientated and is seeking to prepare 4
representatives of each partner organization to work with topics covering non-formal education, volunteering
and democracy in youth organizations.
The project is taking place in Lithuania, during September 2009 – May 2010, a total of 28 participants from
7 National Youth Councils are involved. Methods of non-formal education is used during every seminar, the
participants is encouraged to develop creative and innovative ways and methods, which can be used to work
with the project‘s topics.
The Evaluation Meeting
Since the whole project is orientated to the quality the evaluation meeting takes really important part of the
project, because during this meeting young people will have a chance to share their experiences and get to
know the experiences of other participants and explore the possibilities of using the gained skills during their
work back home. First two seminars where held in Lithuania from October 2009 to January 2010. The
evaluation meeting will be held in May this year. It is important to mention that evaluation meeting is very
important for the whole project, because only in this way the quality and success will be guaranteed as well
as it will give a possibility of young people to evaluate their own dedication, achieved results and future
perspectives of the work with project topics in their everyday organizational work.
Profile of the participants





Nominated by a National Youth Council;
Participated in at least one of previous seminars of the project;
Dedicated to adopt the knowledge of the seminar to the daily life of his/her YNGO;
Able to work in English;
Committed to take part in the entire event.
Other technical details:
 Date and place of the seminar: the seminar will take place in Aukštadvaris, on 28-31 May 2010,
participants are expected to arrive to Vilnius until the noon of the 28th, and depart in the afternoon of
31st of May;


Travel, accommodation and meals: either nominated organizations or participants are expected to
cover 30% of participants travel expenses. Organizers of the seminar will cover 70% of the travel
expenses and all board and lodging expenses.
Language of the seminar: English.
