To deliver highly automated network services and ensure quality of experience
(QoE), RIFT.io and CENX have partnered to bring together NFV Management
and Orchestration (MANO) and Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO). The
RIFT.ware Network Service Virtualization (NSV) platform’s MANO-compliant
orchestration and the CENX Exanova Service Intelligence product’s service
management capabilities work together to give service providers a complete
solution for orchestrating and assuring virtual and physical network services. The

Exanova Service Intelligence supports closed-loop automation of orchestration
and assurance functions. The Exanova Service Information Model (SIM) is
populated by ingesting and reconciling data from traditional OSS silos, such as
inventory systems, EMS, and NMS, as well as the ETSI MANO stack. The SIM is
continuously updated to maintain a model of all the network resources and how
these are related to deliver individual services.

Exanova’s analytics trigger pre-defined workflows to execute automated
functions across hybrid networks. These workflows automatically change the

sizing of network resources, such as more bandwidth for an EVC, or scale out of
a Virtual Network Function (VNF). The workflows are executed by Exanova’s
Business Process Model and Notation 2.0 (BPMN 2.0) workflow engine.
RIFT.ware Life Cycle Management forms virtual compute and network resources
into a structured topology that can support hundreds of VMs, VNFs and network
services. RIFT.ware Lifecycle Management is fully compliant with OSM and ETSI
NFV MANO specifications. The RIFT.ware orchestration elements also provide
open REST based APIs to drive life cycle management (e.g. onboard, instantiate,
scale, terminate) of network services and VNFs. This provides the engine that
allows Exanova Service Intelligence to automatically trigger actions that adapt to
changing network demands in a proactive or reactive manner, such as:

Automated scale out / scale in during peak / off-peak hours
Based on an SLA trigger or policy within Exanova, RIFT.ware can scale
infrastructure resources or VNF instances to meet and maintain service levels.
