RESEARCH PROJECTS/ CONFERENCES/SEMINARS
Projects:
Project: “Connectivity Optimization under microscopic parameter for VANET”
under Higher Education Commission, Pakistan startup research grant.
Description:This project is related to the impacts of heterogeneous traffic flow conditions
on the connectivity dynamics in VANET under new defined connectivity model. The
comparison of real life and simulated data will provide base to implement the concept of
VANET on Pakistan motorway scenarios. The study of factors for optimizing VANET
performance will present new aspects of future research in VANETS.
Project: Ph.D thesis under CIIT FDP scholarship “Connectivity modelling in
Vehicular Ad-hoc Network” , supervised by Prof. Bahram Honary.
Description:I completed my Ph.D dissertation under the supervision of well renowned
scholar in Data Communication Prof..Bahram. The focus of this research work was to
understand the relationship between the vehicular mobility, density and node connectivity
5
under heterogeneous traffic flow environments. The research work presents VANET
performance analysis under more realistic road conditions for future VANET, design and
management.
Seminar/Conference:

o Quiz Competition
o On Spot Programming Competition
o Poster Competition
o Gaming Competition
Frontiers of Information Technology, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 (International
conference)
Role: Member Conference Organizing Committee, Collaboration coordinator
http://fit.edu.pk/
Description:International Conference on Frontiers of Information Technology (FIT) has
been organized by COMSATS in December every year at Islamabad Pakistan. The
conference has reached on its 14th episode. It is technically sponsored by IEEE Islamabad
Chapter, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, and IEEE Computer Society Technical
Committee on Scalable Computing.
The main objective of this conference is to provide a platform for engineers, academicians,
scientists, industrial professionals and researchers from over the world to present the result
of their research activities in the field of Information technology and Technological
innovation. FIT provides opportunities for the delegates to share the knowledge, ideas,
innovations and problem solving techniques. I have been actively performing different roles
in holding this conference.
