In past years, OSA professional staff members have attended the Thunder, Spurs, and Cavs training camps, have been guests at the highly prestigious College Point Guard Camp (PGC), Metro Basketball Coach Athletics, and collegiate and high school practices around town. The objective is for our players to be consistently exposed to the newest ideas and current trends in youth basketball, allowing us to incorporate these trends into our highly successful core fundamental and schematic training. You can count on OSA practices to be crisp, professionally run, and fun for your child! Practice time will focus on skill development as well as offensive and defensive team concepts. Players will be pushed both physically and mentally, yet still have fun each time they attend. Our unique practice format allows for each player to focus on five key areas at each practice: scoring, defensive principles, transition, fast break/ball handling, and offensive team principles. At all practices, one of our professional staff will be directly involved and hands-on with your child’s team. This allows us to teach a progressive skill set and schemes to everyone in the program. Practice Schedules: Typically, U15-U17 Boys Practices will be held on Sunday afternoons/evenings and Tuesday or Wednesday evenings in April and May. 4th – 8th Grade Boys Practices will typically be held on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings in April and May. We recognize that high school programs typically hold their camps, clinics and summer leagues in June. As a result, we will not hold U14 – U17 team practices in June to allow players to participate with their high school teams. All U14 – U17 boys teams will practice daily June 27th thru July 1st. Players are still encouraged to attend the Mon/Thurs Skills Academies. Complete schedules will include June and July practices, and will be handed out at the Parent/Player Meetings. The experience of traveling with OSA showed me a different level of basketball talent and let me experience the culture of the different places. This also put me in different situations that I would never been in without OSA. I got to push myself on the basketball court against my peers and also got to be a leader for the younger kids in the program. I would have never had any of those opportunities without being part of the OSA program, and that helped shape me into young man I am today.” – Kyhri Thomas, Creighton University Shooting Guard, and Former OSA Crusader “As a parent I couldn’t have been happier with OSA, the structure of the program and the coaches are proven and fair. Being three hours away from Omaha, their consistent schedule made it easy. OSA selects quality players, but most importantly, they select quality kids! Tournament competition was top notch, and the program is invaluable. OSA coaches have connections all over the country, and they do what they can to help the kids in their program find a place to play college ball.” - Kelly Kerkman, father of Andy Kerkman, Augustana University Recruit 4 OSA Summer Select Fee Structure All fees include weekly practices, bi-weekly skill academies, and all spring and summer tournaments.
