PARENT FAQS
FAQs
Which
students receive
computers and how long
do they keep them?
All 7th-12th grade students receive a
computer. Each computer currently has a
4 year life cycle.
FAQs
 Why
are students given computers and
how are they used during the day?
In an effort to successfully prepare all students
for their futures, technology use and
understanding will be key. Mattson has the
highest rate of technology use amongst the KSD
middle schools thus computers are used daily
in most classes for Do Nows, daily assignments,
research, appropriate reading materials, and
the like.
FAQs
What
are the costs associated
with the computers?
We have only had 2 computers disappear in
the last 4 years – one was stolen out of the
family vehicle and the other family moved
without returning the computer. It is roughly
$1,000 to replace the entire computer
package.
