POSITION: Consumer Marketing Specialist
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To assist in the development, implementation, execution and marketing energy efficiency and conservation programs as well
as member related programs. This position also will promote Cobb EMC consumer products and be responsible for ongoing
marketing program management.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field
Minimum two years’ experience with marketing campaigns, product launches, demographic analytics, web analytics, digital
media and advertisement.
Demonstrated working knowledge of e-communications, and survey tools such as Survey Monkey and analytics tools like
Google Analytics
Experience with event planning and coordination
SKILLS:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with members, internal and external stake holders, vendors, and the public
Excellent sales and presentation skills
Demonstrated working knowledge of personal computers, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and Adobe Suite
Proficiency with Google Analytics
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in team environments
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically in a fast-paced, ever changing department
Possess valid Georgia driver’s license
PREFERRED:
Previous utility industry experience

INTERNAL:
Receive direction and instruction from immediate supervisor
Receive referrals from Member Services, Operations, and Electrical Service for members needing technical assistance
Provide information to other employees about Cobb EMC products and services
Work with other departments to achieve high member satisfaction
EXTERNAL:
Effectively serve all members to achieve increased customer and public support of the Corporation
Work with prospective and current consumers and local civic and professional organizations and services to promote
corporate products and services
Coordinate print and production of materials and marketing displays with outside vendors
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Create
• Create, copy edit, and proof read marketing materials and presentations
• Develop marketing campaigns and strategies, digital media marketing, website and e-communications, strategies of
product enhancements, online and post-call surveys, marketing new products and services, and online Direct
Marketing campaigns
• Seek and promote ways to enhance member satisfaction
• Design, layout, and color marketing materials and promotions
• Develop materials with excellent attention to detail and with high standards for quality
• Coordinate the communication of consumer marketing programs internally and externally
• Analyze marketing products as well as member communications
• Write copy for marketing materials, programs, general communications and assist with copy development for Web
site and collateral materials
• Manage marketing programs as needed
Reporting and Notifications
• Maintain department’s ad-hoc reports
• Track report and analyze monthly consumer marketing support and promotional activities
• Work with communications, IT, finance, billing, member care center and other departments to launch successful
products
• Notify employees, including an official notice to the Call Center, about marketing campaigns
• Analyze demographic reports for insight and best use of corporate financial resources
• Maintain appropriate equipment for use in the field
• Respond to unauthorized usage inquiries

Community Events
• Assist in planning and coordinating community events throughout the counties we serve
• Organize and attend community events representing the Corporation
• Attend various county Chamber of Commerce and Civic organization meetings
