Warm-Up – describe a simple warm-up activity before playing
Basketball
For any sport activity to be done you need to do some warm up exercises before
starting. In basketball you must stretch your muscles to increase your game productivity
and efficiency. You can jog and do some slow running or even jumping. It is better if you
slowly bounce the ball before starting, to prepare yourself and warm you full body.
Game Activity/Activities
Describe the game of Basketball in detail – number of players, rules,
penalties, how to score (10 lines)
Basketball is a famous team sport type. It’s about throwing a ball into a basket,
which is about 10 feet high. Basketball team is usually has around 5 players and every
game consists of two teams. If any team scores a goal it counts as two points. Bouncing
plays the ball in this game; the player with the ball should bounce it non-stop while
walking or running. You cannot hold or carry the ball and walk without bouncing, it is
considered a violation (fouls). If a basketball team made three fouls, it will be counted as
a goal for the opponent team. The time of the game is divided by two parts, 30 minutes
for each with 5 minutes in between as a rest or break. Players distribution is based on the
player’s heights, the tallest player takes the middle place (position 5), while medium
height players take position 3 and 4, and the shortest player takes either position 1 or 2.
