Zero Waste Champion Advert

Zero Waste Champions
On average each person in the UK throws away seven times their own body weight
every year.
By reducing the amount of stuff we throw away we could conserve resources, combat
climate change, reduce pollution to the land, water and air and save money.
EMERGE want people from across Greater Manchester to become Zero Waste
Champions and take the Zero Waste Challenge. The challenge is to reduce the amount
of stuff you throw away to as close to zero as possible in one month.
What’s involved?

Come along to one of our Zero Waste workshops to find out about the Zero
Waste Challenge and how to work towards achieving Zero waste

Complete the Zero Waste Challenge over the period of a month. The amount of
time you commit to it is up to you

You will have the opportunity to attend events during the month to learn more
about waste and resources

Keep a diary/blog of your progress

Let us know the results of your challenge

Help to organise or attend local events to spread the message of Zero Waste
and recruit more Zero Waste Champions.
How can you get involved?
Come to one of our Zero Waste workshops at Brazennose House West, Brazennose
Street Manchester Lancashire, M2 5BL. The next workshops are on Wed 22 June 2011
