Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Tie Breaking Procedure 1. USHJA will pull the Level Two Quiz Report for each tied candidate. 2. The Level One Quiz score will be used to break the tie(s). 3. If a tie still exists, the following tie breaking procedure will be used: a) USHJA will locate the answers to the first three questions in the report of Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Level Two Quiz. The candidate who answers the first question of Section 1 correctly advances to HQC Nationals. Should more than one tied candidate answer the first question correctly, the candidate who answers the second question of Section 1 correctly advances to the Finals, and so on, until one finalist has been determined. The question order is: Section 1, question 1 Section 1, question 2 Section 1, question 3 Section 2, question 1 Section 2, question 2 Section 2, question 3 Section 3, question 1 Section 3, question 2 Section 3, question 3 Section 4, question 1 Section 4, question 2 Section 4, question 3 b) If the tie still has not been broken go back to Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Level Two Quiz, looking at questions 4, 5 and 6 of the quiz. The candidate who answers the first question correctly advances to the HQC Nationals. Should more than one tied candidate answer the first question correctly, the candidate who answers the second question correctly advances to the Nationals, and so on, until one finalist has been determined.
