Kingdom Hope and Washington Youth Soccer Partnership Proposal Great partnerships always take time and hard work to get the right results. In addition great partnerships can usually be found to consistently contain the following elements: Shared investment, clear expectations, open communication, and finally, clearly defined objectives. It is our hope that these four components can be the foundation upon which our partnership can be built. A Mutually Beneficial Relationship (Shared Investment) Being invested in each other success is a critical component, below are a couple examples of why this is a great win-win partnership. As the biggest youth soccer organization in Washington, Washington Youth Soccer is doing a great job of achieving its mission of using soccer to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth, plus development of the Washington Youth. Having such a hugely popular figure in Washington such as Steve Zakuani become the face and spokesperson can only further the impact that Washington Youth Soccer is able to achieve. This association gives further credence to the fantastic work of Washington Youth and will hopefully inspire the kids to know that they are a part of the same organization that is represented by one of most beloved Sounders players ever. The return benefit for Kingdom Hope is the fact that there are 105,000 members of the Washington Youth Soccer family and that is potentially 105,000 people that we can impact with our programs and services that will help us on our way to inspiring individuals to become great leaders. Washington Youth Soccer already have much of the mechanisms in place for Kingdom Hope to deliver its services, which will be a lot more time effective than organic growth meaning we can reach and inspire more people in a shorter period of time. With so many awards and recognition events that take place throughout the calendar year for Washington Youth, a lot of planning has to go into making each event a little bit special whether that is by having guest presenters or guest speakers. The partnership with Kingdom Hope removes that that time consuming planning element. In the four years of existence Kingdom Hope has either held or been a part of a wide range of events and having Steve at these events is a great bonus as he has a continued high profile due to his playing career and now broadcasting work, years of experience as a gifted public speaker and has recently become a praised author. It would be extremely difficult to find a singular person to better represent Washington Youth Soccer at these events. As an extremely well established non-profit, Washington Youth Soccer can provide Kingdom Hope with both support and access to people and resources that can help the growth of Kingdom Hope in a really tangible way. The fact that Washington Youth have a lot year round programs and annual tournaments allows Kingdom Hope plenty of exposure to other non-profits, companies and individuals that otherwise may not have been the case and can lead to further opportunities for collaborative working. Working Agreement (Clear Expectations) In order to avoid any ambiguity between the two organizations the following points may be useful. Potential Joint Commitments A major donor dinner in 2016. Joint Soccer Clinic/Camp. Celebrity Soccer Fundraising Match Cecile Zakuani Scholarship/Washington Youth Soccer Fundraising Tournament Community Outreach Event/Fitness drive Book Signing Event Special Soccer Edition of Rising Leaders for Washington Youth Members Working Together (Open Communication) There will most certainly be a number of logistical and strategic problems to work through throughout the course of the partnership and the quickest way to reach resolutions is to have solid communication as a foundation of the working relationship. In addition to working together closely on different projects and events throughout the year, it would also be prudent to have an annual review of the partnership to renew terms and discuss plans for the next 12 months or to discuss whether a new direction might be the best course of action. Partnership Goals (Clearly Defined Objectives) The success of this partnership will be determined by the results that it produces. The criteria for success include but are not limited to: Successful joint fundraising efforts resulting in increased donations and financial support from new donors. Increased participants of Washington Youth Soccer services. Strong uptake of Kingdom Hope’s new and existing programs. Raised awareness of both organizations within respective supporters psyche from cross promotion efforts. New opportunities/markets for each party. This is written with the intention of being a guideline for a sustained and fruitful partnership.
