-March 27th
The Star Scramble 3 Person Scramble
Morningstar Golfers Club is proud to present the Inaugural Star 3 person Scramble!!
Team handicap of 18 or more required and verified through the WSGA handicap system.
Entry fee of $35.00(member), $65.00+tax (guest) includes: 18 holes with cart, range, team
prizes, four flag events and a chicken and ribs dinner following play.
Play will be in six, and will be limited to the first 102 players. (open to outside play)
There will be tee shot requirements for each player, closest to the pin on the four par threes.
$15.00 per team skins game will be paid out in cash is optional. 12:30pm shotgun start

Beat the Professionals (Best Ball 50% Handicap)
Pick your own four-player team to play against the Morningstar Golf Professionals. Men
will play from the blue tees; ladies will play from the red tees. 50% of each individual’s
handicap will be used and the format will be the best two balls out of four. Tournament fee will
be $35.00 and it will also include a Buffet Lunch!
SIGN UP DEADLINE: April 22nd
-May 15th
2-Player Best Ball (Net & Gross)
Pick your own two-player team. Full handicaps will be used for the net scoring. Play
your own ball out through the entire round. USGA Rules will apply. Men will play from a
black/blue tee combo and ladies will play from the white tees. Tournament fee will be $35.00
and will include lunch! This will be the 1st of 4 majors for the year. Player of the year points
will be given on an individual basis, please fill in your scores on every hole.

ESPN 2-Player Best Ball
The ESPN National Golf challenge will be a better ball of twosome (Net) with a
maximum handicap of 24 per player. A separate gross division is also included. Winning teams
will advance to regional finals. The number of advancing teams, depends on the number of local
entries. Tournament entry fee will be $60 for members and $95 for public players. This fee
includes golf, cart, range, one dozen Callaway HX Tour Golf Balls, and an annual subscription
to Golf Magazine. www.espngolf.com. Last years’ winners qualified in Illinois for Vegas!!!

Fire Cracker Blind
4 person event – One players score will be used each hole with the three others playing a
best ball. The player will change on each hole. Ie. Hole #1 Player A – alone and Players B, C+D
will play a best ball. Hole # 2 Player B – alone and A, C + D will play a best ball. Rotation must
be set prior to teeing off on the first hole.
$35.00 per player and includes a buffet lunch!

Stoke Play Championship
This is an individual gross and net 18-hole stroke play event. USGA Rules will apply.
Men will play from the black tees and ladies will play from the white tees. There will be
separate men’s and ladies divisions. Tournament fee will be $35.00 and will include buffet
lunch!
This will be the 2nd of 4 majors for the year.

-July 31st
Women’s Club Championship
The 2010 Women’s Championship will be contested over 18 holes of stroke play. We
will have two divisions: White tee and Red tee. We will have Gross and Net divisions in both
flights and you will be eligible in both flights. You can not win both flights; you will win which
ever is the greater prize. Tournament fee will be $35.00 and will include buffet lunch!
-August 7th
1 Club Championship
We will have our first One Club Tournament. This will be a true one club event,
whatever club you choose to tee off with, you will use to putt with as well. Pick wisely.
Handicaps will be used. Pick your club and we will head out to crown the Morningstar 1 Club
Champ. We will play this event starting at 1pm so all can use their full set in the a.m. $25.00
includes skins game and appetizers after golf.
-August 21st
Member – Guest
This event was very popular last year and will fill up fast this year. The day will include
27 holes of golf, tee prizes, lunch, dinner, flag events, team and individual prizes and cocktails
between the 18 and the Par 3. Don’t forget the Closest to the Pin competition – where will we
play to this year??? Cost to be determined.
SIGN UP DEADLINE: August 1st due to Ordering of Tee Prizes
-August 28th & 29th
Men’s Club Championship
This will be a two round event beginning on Saturday and concluding on Sunday. The
flights will be paired with like handicaps. Each flight will consist of 16 players with the
exception of the championship bracket that will be open to all participants who wish to compete
in this bracket. The first round will be played Saturday morning and the second round will be
played on Sunday morning. After the conclusion of the 2nd round, the top two players from each
flight will then play match play in the afternoon. The championship flight will be an 18-hole
match and the other flights will consist of a 9-hole match. Tournament fee will be $70.00 and
will include cocktails and food after Saturdays round. This will be the 3rd out of 4 majors for the
year.

-September 11th
Blind Partner with Golf Professional Best Ball (Net and Gross)
Three golf professionals will play an early round and one of their scores will be used in
combination with your own in a best ball format. You will draw your golf professional that you
get paired with at the completion of your round. Scoring will be a best ball of partners using
their score and yours on each hole. Tournament fee will be $30.00 and include buffet lunch!

-September 25th & 26th
Match Play Championship
The match play tournament will be organized according to like handicaps and everyone
will be placed in flights of eight according to their handicap. The matches will be single
elimination with the first round being played on Saturday Morning while the second round match
will be played Saturday Afternoon. The final match will be played Sunday Morning. The
tournament fee will be $35 per player and will include buffet lunch on Saturday. This will be the
4th of 4 major tournaments for the year

-October 9th
Hole in One Event
This event is a 4 person Best ball, open to all members of the Hole in One Club. Pairings
done by golf shop based on your handicap. All monies collected will be used for prizes and for
lunch for all participants.

Beat the Professional Scramble
This event is a four-player scramble utilizing 10% of the team’s total handicap against the
four Morningstar Golf Professionals. The tournament entry fee will be $30.00 and will include
buffet lunch!

ALL SCORES WILL BE POSTED HOLE BY HOLE AND THE GOLF SHOP STAFF WILL
POST THEM FOR YOU. WHEN YOUR ROUND IS COMPLETED JUST GIVE US THE
CARD AND WE WILL PUT IN ALL SCORES. ANYONE WHOSE NAME IS ON THE
DAILY TEE SHEET AND DOES NOT RETURN A SCORECARD WILL HAVE A SCORE
OF 72 POSTED. WE WILL BE UTILIZING BLUE GOLF ALONG WITH THE WSGA AND
SIGNING UP FOR EVENTS WILL BE MUCH EASIER AS WILL THE SCORING OF
EVENTS, DUE TO THIS WE ARE IMPOSING THE SCORECARD RULE AS WELL AS
EACH PLAYER MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 18 ROUNDS POSTED PRIOR TO THE
MEMBER – GUEST AND THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE

Tournament dates are set based on events currently booked and restaurant availability. Dates
and formats are subject to change.
Bold Indicates Player of the Year Tournaments
Player of the year points will be given to individuals at the completion of each major in
both the gross and net divisions. Each major will be a stoke play format except the final event
which will be match play. The player at the end of the year who has compiled the most points in
each division will be the Morningstar Player of the Year.

2 points will be given automatically to each competitor for competing in each member event.
These 2 points will be added to the points above if the player finishes in that spot.
The club championship has bonus points for each brackets top two finishers. These top two
players will play match play in the finals and will receive 10 points for 1st place and 5 points for
2nd place.
