Minty freshness…
Charts I found on the Internet, I described them in Dutch for my FaceBook-group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/AnnyonesShawls/
This is a translation in US terms
Thanks to Nina Tearnay for her help!!
I used 1100 mtr Ice Yarn Briz Apalce (150 grs) , needle size 3,5
Size of the shawl: 190 x 95 cm. (incl. the edge, wich is 2x 9 = 18 cm in total)
But any yarn you like can be used.
You start by making a triangle, by crocheting from the downside up. (the center)
After that you crochet the edge around that triangle (the edge)
On page 2 you can find the charts fot the center, on page 3 that is explained.
On page 4 the chart of the edge, on page 5 the explanation of that chart.
My advice: While crocheting: look at the charts when you read the text..

Stitches used:
USA terms:
Ch = chain
Slst = slipstitsch
Sc = single crochet
Dc = double crochet
Trc = triple crochet
Shawl, the center
Chain 5, attach with a slst into a ring.
1. In the ring: ch 4 and 6 trc.
2. Ch 4, 6 trc (1 trc on each trc of last round, plus 1 trc on 4th chain)
3. Ch 5 (= 1 trc + 1ch), trc on trc, ch1, etc., until end of round.
4. Ch 1, sc on each trc and on each ch. End with 1 sc in 5th ch and 1 sc on 4th ch.
You have created a fan now. From now on every 4 rounds you will add one fan.
5. Ch 4, 6 trc in 1st sc. Ch 4, 1 sc on middle trc of last round, ch 4, 7 trc on last sc.
6. Ch 4, trc on trc, ch 4, sc on sc, ch 4, trc on every trc and on 4th ch.
7. Ch 5, trc on trc, ch, trc on trc, etc. Ch 4, sc on sc, ch 4. Trc on trc, ch, etc. End with 1 trc on
4th ch.
8. Ch 1, sc in each trc and on every chain of the fan. Chain 3 between the fans, continue with
a sc on every next stitch, and on the 5th and 4th ch at the end.
9. Start with 3 fans, as described above. Fan, space with chains, fan, etc.
Go on until you reach the length you want, end with a round of sc.
The edge will also take space, so take that in consideration. (See remarks at the beginning of this
pattern)

The Edge:
Attach this edge to the two short sides of the triangle.
1. Crochet squares around the shawl; (chain and dc)
Each fan should have (at least) 7 squares)
First and last pattern/fan: 8 squares
In the middle: ch 5 between the dc.
2. Chain 5 to create 5 arches, 1 sc on each 2nd dc.
Add an extra arch in the middle.
3. 7 dc on 1st arch – 3 arches on next 4 arches.
On 6th arch of the last round 7 dc, 3 arches on the next 4 arches…
Carry on with dc on the next arches… etc.
{Sc on the middle arch (of 5), chain 5 and sc } in middle arch.
Carry on, 1st, 6th…. Etc… finish with 7 dc on last arch.
4. Again; ch 5 to create arches, sc on each arch of last round and on 2 nd and 6th dc.
Add an extra arch in the middle around/on the middle arch .
5. Repeat round 3.
In the middle: 3 arches instead of 1 as in row 3
6. Arch of 5 ch, sc on middle dc of 7, another arch of 5, sc on next arch of last round.
Chain 1, 6 x (dc, chain 1 on next arch), then sc in next arch.
2 arches of 5 ( attach to middle dc of last round). Repeat this.
In the middle 1 sc on 1st arch, 8 dc (with a ch) on middle-arch , sc in 3rd middle-arch, 2
arches (sc in middle dc)
End with ch 3 + dc on last dc of the arch
7. Ch 5 for arch at the beginning
On the dc-arches now trc in the ch, ch 2 in between.
So; 7 trc with 2 ch first, in between and at the end
Then an arch
In the middle 9 trc in the same way. At the end: ch 3 + dc
8. Sc in middle arch
** ch 3, 3 puff (= crochet 3 trc together) on 1st space between trc, ch 1, + a picot of ch 3 +
ch… Repeat this (= 6 x a 3 puff between 7 trc); then ch3, sc in arch **
Repeat this around.
(In the middle there will be 8 puffs between the 9 trc)
(OPTION: ch 3 between the 3puffs, if you don’t like –to crochet- picots)
Enjoy!
