HOW TO SUBMIT TO LET’S PLAY HOCKEY
Send in your team’s photos and highlights
The youth hockey community is the lifeblood of Let's Play Hockey and we need your stories for each weekly edition of the longestrunning hockey newspaper in the nation. There is no charge for articles to appear in Let’s Play Hockey. That’s right – free publicity
for your team/association. Simply e-mail articles as plain text or as a Microsoft Word attachment. Send the photo as a JPG attachment
(not as part of a document). E-mail it to [email protected].
Articles are printed based on when they are received by Let’s Play Hockey. Due to space considerations, shorter articles have
a better chance of getting into the paper than longer articles. With a half page of space, we would prefer in most cases to print two
different tournament reports rather than one long report.
Teams that submit articles are eligible for prizes from LPH advertisers like Dynamoo, Dairy Queen and the Minnesota Wild. Just
e-mail your stories and photos for a chance to win.
Due to space and the volume of youth hockey reports we receive, we’re unable to know in advance when your article will appear
in the paper. As always, thanks in advance for your efforts to help promote and publicize the sport for which our state is known.

We’re always on the lookout for interesting/unique story ideas from your team/association. Anything will do – from inspirational
tales of overcoming adversity, to famous family members, to family members serving in the military, to extraordinary acts of
community service, to any other human interest stories that you might have on your team. E-mail your story ideas to
[email protected].
Rankers needed
Let’s Play Hockey has been ranking youth hockey teams for decades. Are you a Minnesota youth hockey coach or team manager
who can lend a hand with our rankings? As always, our rankers are anonymous. If you’re a player, your coach could be one of our
rankers and you’d never know it. If you’re a coach, one of your assistants could be a ranker and you’d never know it. It’s an approach
that has worked for decades, so we’re not changing anything.
If you want to become a ranker, send a note to [email protected]. Please provide your current position on your team
and your team name.
Submit your team’s shutouts, hat tricks and playmakers ... and win!
Know a youth hockey player who scored three goals or three assists in one game? Let us know for a chance to win gear from
Gongshow! E-mail the following information to [email protected]: Player’s name, team name, level of play, opponent, date
of game, # of goals/assists, final score, mailing address. Submitted hat tricks/playmakers will appear in Let’s Play Hockey and
letsplayhockey.com. Two players each week will be randomly chosen to win a t-shirt from Gongshow.
Know a goalie who posted a shutout? Let us know for a chance to win gear from Carroll Goalie School and Brian’s Custom Sports!
E-mail the following information to [email protected]: Goalie’s name, team name, level, opponent, shutout date, total
saves, final score, mailing address. Submitted shutouts will appear in Let’s Play Hockey and letsplayhockey.com. One goalie each
week will be randomly chosen to win a Carroll Goalie School jersey and Brian’s t-shirt.
