CONDITIONS
OF ENTRY
If you pass this sign and enter the Sydney Fish Market (Market), you agree to comply with the
Conditions of Entry set out below (Conditions) and the Sydney Fish Market Rules (Rules) as amended
from time to time. If you fail to comply with the Conditions or Rules you are liable to SFM for damages.
If you disagree with the Conditions, do not enter the Market, or alternatively, exit the Market immediately.
If you entered the Market in a vehicle and disagree with the Conditions, immediately proceed to the exit gate
where you will be allowed to exit the Market without charge (on production of a parking ticket).
A copy of these Conditions and the Rules may be obtained from the carpark attendant or an authorised officer of SFM.
1 Entry: You agree to pay any applicable fee in
respect of your entry and use of the Market.
You may only use the designated entry/exit points
to enter/leave the Market. You (or your vehicle)
must not be in any part of the Market when that
part of the Market is closed.
2 Selling: You must not sell, transfer, offer for sale
or solicit orders for fish or any other goods in the
Market without permission in writing from SFM.
3 Behaviour: You must not behave in a noisy,
offensive, unsafe, undesirable or illegal manner
in the Market. You may only smoke or consume
alcohol in those parts of the Market designated
by SFM for that purpose.
4 Directions: You must comply with any reasonable
direction of a representative of SFM:
• relating to a condition of entry or the good
management of the market;
• directing you to leave the Market or any part of
the Market; or
• relating to traffic management.
5 Work Health and Safety: You must comply with
all directions concerning SFM’s work health and
safety procedures or requirements and you must
take reasonable care for your own health and safety
and the health and safety of all other persons in
the Market.
6 Vehicle operation: You must not operate any
vehicle in the Market in a way that is unlawful
or unsafe (in the reasonable opinion of SFM) or
contrary to SFM signage.
7 Parking: You may only park in designated areas
in the Market and must not obstruct common
areas or roadways.
8 Animals: You must not permit any animal in
a person’s charge to enter the market, unless
bona fide for use by a person with a disability.
9 Media: All media wishing to film or interview
workers or patrons onsite need to contact
SFM’s Public Relations & Media Executive on
0421 399 301 prior to arrival. If you have
not done so you MUST contact Security on
0408 117388 upon entry.
10 Wharves: You must not use the wharves at
the Market to repair, clean or dry any equipment
or load/unload goods other than in the areas
designated by SFM for that purpose. You must
not moor a vessel at the wharves for greater
than 4 hours without permission in writing
from SFM.
11 Dump rubbish: You must not dispose, dump
or deposit any garbage or refuse (of any kind)
in any part of the Market or into the water
immediately adjacent to the wharves or from
any vessel moored at the wharves.
12 Liability: SFM will not be liable for any loss,
damage or injury to you or your property in the
Market and you indemnify SFM in respect of any
loss, damage or injury so suffered.
13 Banning: You acknowledge that SFM has the
right to ban you from the Market for a breach
of these Conditions or the Rules.
