Detox Coordinator (Clarity House) Position: Detox Coordinator Salary: £19,200 - £21,400 per annum (dependent on experience) Responsible to: Care Services Manager Application Deadline: 18th December 2015 at 5pm JOB SUMMARY 1. To manage the care and support for service users detoxing from drugs and/or alcohol at Clarity House. 2. To coordinate staff and volunteers in order to provide quality support package to clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week whilst they are residing in Clarity House and to organise sleep in rotas. 3. To develop and deliver tailored recovery support groups and one - ones to clients in Clarity House. 4. To work closely with all SIAS partners, Solihull Probation, Raid team in Solihull Hospital, Prison in-reach team and all other referring agencies, to assess service users for the house to ensure they are motivated, committed and suitable for our support provision and to refer service users on to relevant support services and move on accommodation. 5. To work closely with Service Users and their families, developing individual care plans to enable them to build a foundation for their recovery. General Duties: a. b. c. d. e. f. g. Help promote a stimulating, caring and culturally appropriate environment for Service Users. Provide practical and emotional support to Service Users. Deputise in the absence of the Care Services Manager. Supervision of Recovery Coaches and Volunteers Peer Mentors Anticipate Service User’s needs and communicating these to other staff and professionals involved. Writing review reports and other reports as necessary. Being involved in review meetings concerning Service Users. To participate in the full range of duties including: a. b. c. d. e. f. g. h. Helping Service Users with skills development both inside and outside the house. Listening to Service Users, including their feelings about any difficulties they may be having. Helping Service Users to make informed choices. Facilitating monthly Service User meetings. To help ensure that each Service User’s health needs are met including liaising with medical services To attend and participate in all required SIAS meetings, staff meetings, training courses and supervision sessions. To be a congruent leader and constructive member of the staff team. Lead and work co-operatively with fellow workers and to use own initiative. Other Duties a. To undertake any delegated tasks from the care services manager such as weekly checks and monitoring b. To support the Manager during recruitment and induction programmes HOURS AND ANNUAL LEAVE A flexible 37.5 hours a week is worked which may include evenings and weekends. Holiday entitlement: 24 days holiday per year including statutory Bank Holidays. PLACE OF WORK Clarity House, Chelmsley Wood and other Changes properties as required. Previous experience of project management. 2. Personal experience of long term abstinent based recovery 3. Experience of setting up, implementing and delivering new projects 4. Experience of supporting clients with mental health problems 5. Experience of running educational groups and workshops 6.
