Tasks to develop these competences towards
the learning outcomes
Learning goals - expected leaning
outcomes
Body of knowledge (National
curriculum)
Students should be able to:
 Describe and perform experimental
procedure that shows that air exerts
pressure on the bodies
 Measure and record the atmospheric
pressure by the appropriate apparatus
 Seek and present information about
historical experiments, which
demonstrate the existence of
atmospheric pressure
 Find and share hands-on experiments that show
that air exerts pressure on the bodies
 Prepare in groups for class demonstration an
experiment that show that air exerts pressure on
the bodies
 Find and share information about apparatuses for
measuring the atmospheric pressure (barometers)
 Collect pictures of these apparatuses
 Construct in groups a simple apparatus to measure
atmospheric pressure and demonstration of the
apparatus in the classroom
