2017 NTNA Junior State Carnival Official Rules and Guidelines Official Rules will be played as per the 2016 Rules of Netball. Please note exceptions to the rules: All Age Groups: Games will consist of 2 x 10 minute halves, centrally timed. Half time break – 3 minutes. Scorers – each team is to provide a Scorer. Scorers MUST sit in the scoring boxes and designated seats for courts 8 - 11. Scoresheets – to be handed to the runners at conclusion of games. Games to be allocated in the draw, will be advised on the notice boards, and announced. Finals – if at the call of “time” scores are even; play will continue until a 2 goal advantage is achieved by one team. Presentations for all age groups will be held at 3.45pm. 11U – 12U: Games will be played in a round robin system, within either Pool A or B, and Finals will be conducted between the Pools. Pool A will play 5 Rounds & Pool B will play 5 Rounds with each team having a Bye. All teams ranked 1-5 in each Pool will play a Final. The winner of the Premiership Final between the teams positioned A1 & B1 will be deemed the Premiers. 13U: Games will be played in a round robin system, within either Pool A or B, and Finals will be conducted between the Pools. Pool A & Pool B will play 5 rounds each. All teams ranked 1-6 in each Pool will play a Final. The winner of the Premiership Final between the teams positioned A1 & B1 will be deemed the Premiers. 14U: Games will be played in a round robin system, within Pool A & B. Pool A teams will play Pool B teams for 2 rounds before finals are played between teams ranked 1 – 8. All teams ranked 1 – 8 will play a Final. The winner of the Premiership Final between the teams positioned 1 & 2 will be deemed the Premiers. 15U – 17U: Games will be played in a round robin system, within the age group. Each team will play 6 Rounds and have a Bye within the 7 Rounds. No Final will be played. The team with the most points and percentage at the end of Round 7 will be deemed the Premiers.
