2017 SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL GENERAL INFORMATION
HOW TO REGISTER – Choose one of the following options to register:
 In person at either Centralia Parks & Recreation, upstairs at Centralia City Hall, 118 W. Maple Street in
Centralia (all leagues) or Chehalis Parks & Recreation, at 1321 S. Market Blvd in Chehalis (Twin Cities
Softball and Church Coed). In person registrations are cash or check at either location or with debit or
credit at Chehalis with added convenience fee.
 By mail to Centralia Parks & Recreation, P.O. Box 609, Centralia, WA 98531 (all leagues) or to
Chehalis Parks & Recreation, 1321 S. Market Blvd, Chehalis, WA 98532 (Twin Cities Softball and
Church Coed).
 Online at www.cityofcentralia.com. Under Departments, click on “Parks & Recreation”, then “Register
for Parks and Recreation Programs”. You can pay online with a debit or credit card, or choose “Pay
Later” option and mail or bring in cash or check payment to Centralia Parks & Recreation.
 Unless specified otherwise, most leagues have two fees, a team fee (sometimes referred to as a
sponsor fee) plus a player participation fee (covers as many players as you wish to have on your
roster). Fees include all applicable sales tax.
REQUIRED FORMS:
 Completed team information forms need to be turned in with the team fee registration. If paying online,
team information, requests, conflicts, etc, should be included under Notes and Comments.
 Rosters are due before you play.
 Team information forms, roster forms and league rules are all available on our city websites at
www.cityofcentralia.com or www.ci.chehalis.wa.us.
FREE AGENTS: Are you an individual looking to get on a team? Call Centralia Parks & Recreation at

MEN’S SOFTBALL LEAGUE INFORMATION
If you plan on playing in more than one of our men’s softball leagues—Twin Cities Traditional, Twin Cities
Wood Bat and/or 30 & Over—you will want to take advantage of our Multiple League Discount. To receive
the discount, fees are due in full at the deadline of the first league your team will be participating in. Fees for
any of these leagues include entry into our wood bat tournament, to be held in June.
All 3 Men’s Leagues:.............................. $600 team fee ................... $900 player participation fee
Any 2 of 3 Men’s Leagues:..................... $500 team fee ................... $750 player participation fee
Any 1 of 3 Men’s Leagues:..................... $300 team fee ................... $450 player participation fee
TWIN CITIES SOFTBALL TRADITIONAL LEAGUE – This men’s slowpitch league is our early season
league, and features at least two divisions of play. Register at either Centralia or Chehalis Parks & Recreation.




Team fee due by Friday, March 31. See rates above.
Player participation fee, due by Friday, April 28. See rates above.
League play begins the week of Monday, April 24 and includes a 12-game league season.
Game schedules: Upper divisions will play games on Tuesdays and Thursdays; lower division games
are played on Monday and Wednesdays—no exceptions! Teams will play two games per week, most
often scheduled as doubleheaders. Teams may occasionally play two DHs in the same week.
 Games will be played at Borst Park, Centralia (primary site) and Stan Hedwall Park, Chehalis
(secondary site).

MEN’S SOFTBALL LEAGUE INFORMATION (continued)
TWIN CITIES SOFTBALL WOOD BAT LEAGUE – Similar to our traditional men’s slowpitch
league, but with a wood bat. Register at either Centralia or Chehalis Parks & Recreation.




Team fee due by Friday, May 19. See rates on other side.
Player participation fee due by Friday, June 16. See rates on other side.
League play begins the week of Monday, June 12 and includes a 12-game league season.
Game schedules and locations will be similar to the Twin Cities Softball Traditional League.
30 & OVER SOFTBALL – This wood bat league is designed for players who are at least 30 years of age
during the current calendar year. Players under 30 are allowed in this league, but only two per team may be in
a game at any time. Divisions of play will depend on signups. Register at Centralia Parks & Recreation.
 Team fee due by Friday, June 16. See rates on other side.
 Player participation fee due by Friday, July 14. See rates on other side.
 League play begins the week of July 10. The season includes a 12-game schedule of doubleheaders
played on Mondays and Wednesdays.
 Games will be played at Borst Park, Centralia.
COED SOFTBALL LEAGUE INFORMATION
Use the Multiple League Discount if you plan to play in both our Friday Night and Late Summer Coed
leagues for the best value. To receive the discount, fees are due in full at the deadline of the Friday Night
Coed league. Fees for either of these leagues include entry into our Coed Tournament, to be held in August.
Both Coed Leagues: .............................. $500 team fee ................... $750 player participation fee
Either 1 of 2 Coed Leagues: .................. $300 team fee ................... $450 player participation fee
FRIDAY NIGHT COED SOFTBALL – This league is designed for coed teams wanting an earlier season.
Different divisions of play may be offered, depending on signups. Register at Centralia Parks & Recreation.
 Team fee due by Friday, May 12. See rates above.
 Player participation fee due by Friday, June 9. See rates above.
 Games will be played on Fridays starting June 2 for a 12-game season over approximately 10 weeks.
Teams will play a single game each game night, with 2 to 3 doubleheaders throughout the season.
 Game will be played at Borst Park, Centralia and Stan Hedwall Park, Chehalis.
LATE SUMMER COED SOFTBALL – This traditional coed league offers at least two divisions of play,
depending on signups. Register at Centralia Parks & Recreation.
 Team fee due by Friday, July 7. See rates above.
 Player participation fee due by Friday, July 28. See rates above.
 League play begins the week of July 24 for a 12-game season. Games are played Monday through
Thursday, two games per week, most often scheduled as doubleheaders. Teams may occasionally
play two DHs in the same week
 Games will be played at Borst Park, Centralia.
CHURCH COED SOFTBALL – This Friday night league is designed especially for church groups. No
standings are kept or league awards are given. Several rules are modified to make the league more
recreational. Register at Centralia or Chehalis Parks & Recreation.
 Team fee: $350, due by Friday, May 12. There are no additional fees for this league.
 Games will be played on Fridays starting June 2 for a 10-game season. Teams will play a single game
each game night, with an occasional doubleheader possible.
 Games will be play at Borst Park, Centralia and Stan Hedwall Park, Chehalis.
