How To Apply:
• Church must complete this Church Match Scholarship application and forward the funds WITH THE APPLICATION. Checks received after
the deadline will not be matched by the university, but will be credited as church scholarships.
• Churches may give any amount, however, UVF will only match the first $500 according to the following grade levels: Freshmen-25%;
Sophomores-50%; Juniors-75%; Seniors-100%. The percentage matched in the fall will remain the same for the spring even if grade level
changes.
• Checks should be made payable to “UVF Church Match” with a notation naming the student who is to receive the scholarship.
Criteria:
• Funds must not come from the monthly pledge that the church has designated to the University of Valley Forge or from the student,
parents or relatives. The money must come through an offering or a designation of church funds by the Church Board.
• Monies are applied to tuition costs only.
• The church check and matching scholarship are divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. The check sent by August 1 must be
for BOTH SEMESTERS. Students must enroll in a resident degree program or the scholarship amounts are half if less than 12 credits.
• Students who enroll for only one semester are eligible for a match on church donations up to $250.
The University of Valley Forge is pleased to offer a church
match program. This program is designed to give an
opportunity for churches to participate in assisting their
young people to achieve college educations. There is a
keen sense of appreciation from young people whose
churches “back home” stand with them in prayer and
financial support. Students are eligible for the match by
maintaining a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the University of
Valley Forge.
