Project Description:
 Target audience: users of the app input data and can view it. Professionals
can also view larger groups of data
 All iOS devices
 Description of what app will do
 Connects to 2 bluetooth devices on users knee
 Reads data from these
 Reads the angle of the knee
 This data is displayed on the phone
 Depending on the angle, and the input given by the user,
app will determine “good” and “bad” walking
 Also uploaded to a server for other people to use as well
 Data is used to show a 3d model of the person walking around
 Further requirements are still being discussed
 This app is worth developing as it is meant to improve the patients quality
of life. This app will track good and bad walking and help to improve their
habits.
 What artifacts (documents, images, video, etc.) reside on the device?
 Images and documents showing good and bad posture
 What additional devices does the app require (Estimote beacons, Nix
sensors, other)?
 Teensy boards (similar to arduiuno but smaller)
 Brief description of local database,
 Will contain lots of data points for the user’s movements to be
analyzed and tracked
 Brief description of external database
 External DB would match the internal, except it would also track
which user inputs the data
