Confederation of Danish Industry, the Danish Agriculture & Food Council, EKF Denmark’s Export Credit Agency and the Danish General Consulate in São Paulo invite you to join this initiative, consisting of an export catalogue, a financing seminar and a delegation visit to Brazil. The objective of the initiative is to match you with relevant Brazilian Cooperatives such as LAR, C. Vale, Coamo and Frimesa that invest into both agriculture, food production, ingredients, and food. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION Registering for this business delegation does not ensure your participation. To make sure that the meetings are relevant for both you and the cooperatives, there will be a screening process after your registration. You need to fill in a company profile using the attached template. BACKGROUND EKF and the Consulate General have identified and established a dialogue with 8 large Brazilian cooperatives within dairy, grains, chicken, fish, and pork production, as well as corn and soya. All 8 cooperatives have shown a great interest in the Danish innovative solutions. Together with international banks in Brazil EKF is working on offering credit lines to the targeted cooperatives. Next step is to introduce the cooperatives to the Danish companies. 3. EXPORT CATALOGUE To gain the opportunity to meet the most relevant cooperatives for your company, you need to fill in a profile. The catalogue forms the basis for the cooperatives’ selection process. See further comments under conditions for participation. It is free to have a profile in the catalogue. 4. FINANCING SEMINAR On 26th of April there will be a pre-meeting and financing seminar hosted by Confederation of Danish Industry. At this meeting you will learn more about the business potential at the cooperatives, the offered financing solution, the program details, next step and key notes to give you a solid background needed for your preparation. 5. JOIN THE DELEGATION VISIT The cooperatives select the companies they wish to talk to about their investment plans. Therefore the text in the Export Catalogue is very important. The delegation will be divided into smaller groups of 5-6 companies. The cooperatives are interested in smaller groups to allow them to be detailed and to give you time to make a proper presentation. Every visit will include visits with 4-5 cooperatives. As the production shifts from the local mar-ket to focus more on exports the Brazilian producers of both animal protein and grains are expanding, optimizing and enhancing their production facilities, focusing on among other things more automatization, food safety and more value-adding processed products. Brazilian consumers are also seeking better and safer products and with the economic outlook looking better in 2018 the wheels of the 208 million people large Brazilian con-sumer-market is also slowly setting in mo-tion. Packed foods were valued at USD 90.8 billion in 2015, and is expected to continu-ously grow rapidly and reach USD 140.1 billion by 2020. Brazil is an agricultural powerhouse, and was the world’s fourth leading exporter of agri-food and seafood products in 2015. Today Brazil is dominating the poultry, bovine, soy, sugar, coffee and orange juice markets while also being among the World leaders in pork and corn. The Brazilian agricultural sector employs 15.7 pct. of the total Brazilian workforce. Parana state where all the target-ed cooperatives are located has fastest growth of the 28 Brazilian states. VAT per participating company (2 participants per company) The price is calculated on a basis of 15 participating companies, 5-7 companies per project delegation and approved 50 per cent subsidy by The Danish Trade Council. Local transportation mentioned in the tentative program are included in the price. Flights and hotels are not included in the price.
