(d) A copy of the project leaders’ brief (i.e. maximum 3 pages of minimum font size 10) CVs should be
submitted with this form as well as copies of the endorsements of the relevant Dean or Head of
Department for both Monash and Warwick

SECTION 3: Proposed Budget
1. BUDGET CONTRIBUTION REQUESTED (YEAR TO 14 SEPTEMBER 2011)
Please provide a breakdown of the estimated costs for the proposed activities, including early and advanced stage
collaborations and any follow-up activities. The budget request from each side should represent the amount to be
invoiced to that particular University. Amounts which will be incurred in Australian dollars should be budgeted in the
Monash University column and amounts which will be incurred in Pounds should be budgeted in the University of
Warwick column. In the case of amounts incurred in other currencies, please clearly identify original currency and
amount, convert to AUD or GBP and place this in one column only (it does not matter which). Your proposed
budged does not need to be split 50:50 between the universities, as the universities have agreed to settle any
imbalances in total at the conclusion of the award process. Please leave items blank if not applicable.

NB Your total combined request should not exceed AUD$40,000 or GBP20,000 equivalent. For
simplicity for this exercise, assume GBP1 = AUD2. For example, if you request a GBP total of £10,000
your maximum AUD request is $20,000 as the combined total is $40,000. Or if you request $AUD30k
your maximum possible GBP request is £5k.
