The Basketball Unit at
Bunker Hill Middle School
Jason Melfi
Middle School Basketball Unit
The Basketball Unit I conducted includes 3 key components:
Lay Ups, Foul Shots, & Actual Game Play
Each week the students were introduced to these components
and were lectured on the core elements, they were given the
opportunity to practice, and were later assessed in live settings.
The students had a pre-test so I was able to gauge their
previous knowledge and ability and were later post-tested to
see how much they have learned throughout the course of
each unit.
Project Assessment
 Each unit had a specific
assessment based upon the
students skills.
 They were tested with the same
formula during their pre-test & their
post test.
 After all scores were accumulated
they were later split two ways.
Male vs. Female & Overall scores.
