Plaid for Dad Frequently Asked Questions
How do I Register?
There is no cost to register your workplace for Plaid for Dad. Each workplace should designate a Team
Captain to be the contact person for the event. This person can either register the team online by
visiting plaidfordad.ca or by submitting a registration form by mail, fax or email to:

How do I register my company with multiple locations?
If your company has multiple locations please contact Marla MacLeod (above) and she will be happy to
help with your team registration.
What is the role of the Team Captain?
The Plaid for Dad Team Captain will be the main contact person for his or her team. Each Team
Captain is responsible for:
 Being the internal plaid champion in the workplace to brainstorm engaging activities for your
colleagues to be involved and participate.
 Setting up your workplace’s online fundraising page to make it easy to collect donations from
colleagues.
 Recruiting colleagues to donate and participate! Each registered team will be mailed a Plaid for
Dad tool kit which includes your stickers, fundraising tips and promotional materials.
 Collecting all donations from colleagues signing up offline and other fundraising activities, and
returning funds to Prostate Cancer Canada. All funds must be submitted by July 1, 2016.
How many Team Captains should my company have?
We prefer if each company has one team captain. However, if your company has multiple locations or
feels it is necessary to have more than one Team Captain, please provide contact details for each
captain to Marla MacLeod.

consider hosting a small event, like a company bake sale or BBQ in June to raise additional funds for
your team.
