• Knowing the Benefit Plans is important but only part of the job
• Believing in the benefit plans is important – understanding the
plans is vital.
• Realize how the benefit plans can impact a person’s quality
of life
• Realize that most employees don’t understand benefits and
depend on “guidance” (never give advice!)
• Accuracy is important
• Use available resources
• Internet, intranet, policy letters etc.
• You are the face that employee’s associate with for benefits – make
sure its positive and credible.
