Multi Use Games Area – Surfacing (19m x 12m)
Groundworks

Excavate existing grass playing field surface to a minimum depth of
200mm
Dispose of all excavated spoil off site to a licenced waste management
site.
Lay a geotextile membrane liner to the excavated areas to prevent future
weed growth.
Lay Pre Cast concrete kerb edges to form the perimeter of the surface
area. Haunched both sides in concrete, set to finished surface level.
Import and lay MOT type one stone sub base, compacted in layers by
roller to a depth of 150mm.
Import and lay 10mm open graded bitumen macadam to a depth of
50mm. Set to a cross fall of 1:100 to allow surface water run off.
Sports Surfacing

Lay 10mm needlepunch shockpad to prepared base.
Lay 6mm Multi Sport needlepunch synthetic carpet with inlaid sports
markings TBC. Final surface colour TBC
Sand dress playing surface with manufacturers recommended 6-8kg /m2
of sand.
Multi Use Games Area – Fencing System (18m x 11m)
3m high at each goal end reducing to 1m high at sides
Multi Use Games Area designed to meet the requirements of BS EN 15312. All
steel components are made from mild steel conforming to BS EN 10210 and BS
EN 10219.
Metal Treatment

All Posts and panels are hot dipped galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461.
Polyester powder coated to a thickness of 70-100 microns. Giving a
smooth, attractive hardwearing and weather resistant finish. Proposed
colour is standard blue RAL. TBC

100 x 100x 4mm square hollow section with fully welded end caps
Infill Panels

Flow forge – vertical flat bar (25 x 3mm) and horizontal twisted bar 6mm
diameter for a perfect anti climb panel.
Grid size 100mm x 41mm x 25mm wide
Panels are framed top and bottom with 80x40x3.2mm rectangular hollow
section with fully welded end caps
Goals

Goal areas are 1.8m x 3.6m to meet FA approved “Mini Soccer” goal size
Goal backs are designed with open access – 1 side to be DDA compliant.
Back Boards

19mm black and white high density polyethylene u.v resistant.
Manufactured to BS EN 15312 requirements
Fixings

All fixings are zinc plated bolts and nyloc nuts, protected with a
polypropylene tamper resistant cover cap, providing a high level of
security
