Paper proposal: Statistical analysis of synthetic polarimetry
using data from Carroll, Frank and Blackman 20101 and my
IDL polarization routines.
1. Use 3DMHD muli-jet sims from [1]
2. Assume water masers ( . ) exist BEHIND/INSIDE the model ISM cubes,
and are distributed uniformly.
3. Do synthetic polarimetry using the “emission” from masers.
4. Do polarimetry statistics as a function of time and the parameter space
investigated in [1]. i.e. could observed polarimetry be used to characterise
both ISM dynamics and magnetic structure? How do they evolve in time?
How do they correlate with both jets’ properties and energy injection? We
could also play the Faraday rotation game (modify the synthetic pol. emission
