Offensive Player of the Year
Tyler Slavin, New Mexico Highlands, Wide Receiver, 6-2, 215
Corona, Calif./University of Arizona/Roosevelt HS
Leads the nation in receptions per game (10.8) and receiving yards (1,418), finished second in receiving yards per game (128.9), third in
receiving touchdowns (17), 22nd in scoring (9.3 points per game) and 50th in all-purpose yards per game (128.9)… Recorded the secondmost receptions for a season in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference history… Named Wide Receiver of the Week on Sept. 22 and 29 and
Oct. 6 by Beyond Sports Network and Sept. 22 and 29 by USACollegefootball.org… Had a four game stretch to begin conference play with
more than 100 yards receiving per game, scoring 11 touchdowns in that stretch.
Defensive Player of the Year
Darius Allen, CSU-Pueblo, Defensive End, 6-4, 251
Pueblo, Colo./Pueblo East HS
The Gene Upshaw Award winner as the top lineman in NCAA Division II in 2013, Allen recorded nine sacks in 2014, which is second best in
the RMAC. He led the Pack defense to top 10 rankings in six different catagories in NCAA Division II, including scoring defense, defensive
touchdowns, team sacks and third down conversions. Allen also had 14 tackles for loss, to rank fifth in the RMAC.
Special Teams Player of the Year
Stephan Dickens, CSU-Pueblo, Punt Returner, 5-9, 172
Aurora, Colo./Cherokee Trail HS
Led the RMAC in punt return average and was second in the nation, averaging 20.3 yards per return. He returned a punt 73 yards for a
touchdown on November 1 against Black Hills State.
Coach of the Year
John Wristen, CSU-Pueblo
Wristen coached the ThunderWolves to a fourth straight RMAC championship with a 8-1 record in the RMAC and 10-1 overall. The Pack are
currently ranked number eight in the AFCA national rankings and are the number two seed in the NCAA Super Region Four playoffs. They
will play a home play-off game on Saturday, November 29. In his seven seasons, Wristen is 64-16 (.800) overall with a 51-12 (.809) mark in
the RMAC.
Offensive Freshman of the Year
Marques Rodgers, Western New Mexico, Running Back, 5-10, 173
Gardena, Calif./Serra HS
Rodgers rushed for 1,296 yards on 229 carries and six touchdowns.. That’s the most rushing yards in a season by a Mustang since1998...
He had six games of 100 or more yards rushing, including a high of 222 against Adams State... Rodgers also went over 200 posting 205
against Chadron State... He caught 28 passes out of the backfield for 310 yards and three scores. Rodgers finished 16th nationally in rushing
yards (1,296) and 20th in yards per game (117.8).

and recovered one fumble.
