1. Promoting Unity in the church
1 Corinthians 1:10-11 (KJV) 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be
perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it hath been declared
unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions
among you.
Ephesians 4:1-3 (KJV) 4 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy
of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

2. Develop a spirit of Oneness
Ephesians 4:4-6 (KJV) 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of
your calling;5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and
through all, and in you all.
John 17:21-23 (KJV) 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that
they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory
which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them,
and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou
hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
3. Realize We Are Better Together
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (KJV) 9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their
labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth;
for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how
can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold
cord is not quickly broken.
