2015 Turnberry Golf Club Junior Camps Beginner and Advanced Sessions Turnberry Golf Club is proud to support Junior Golf. Enroll in one of our summer sessions and provide your child with an early introduction to a lifetime of great golf. 7 sessions available throughout the summer Each session will run Monday to Friday with the exception of holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 8: 1 Ratio of junior golfers to instructors Beginner and Advanced levels available o Beginner sessions are designed to introduce the basic fundamentals of the game to children ages 6 to 15 ($220.00 + HST) o Advanced sessions are designed for golfers who have previously taken lessons and/or are participating in a competitive level of golf. Advanced camps will offer advanced instruction and will expose campers to more “oncourse play” focusing on skill development. ($240.00+ HST ) Session Dates July Clinics July 6 – 10 (Beginner/Advanced) July 13 – 17 (Beginner/Advanced) July 20 – 24(Beginner Only) July 27 – 31 (Beginner Only) August Clinics August 10 – 14 (Beginner/Advanced) August 17 – 21 (Beginner Only) August 24 – 28 (Beginner Only) Mini Masters Pre Junior Camps This year we are happy to re-introduce our pre-junior golf clinics specifically tailored for children aged 4 to 7 years old. This program will consist of four 45 minute sessions once a week. The purpose of this camp is to introduce your child to the game of golf in a fun and interactive way. Clinics are available at $99.00 +HST per student. Space is limited. Four, 45 minute sessions once a week 6:1 Ratio of mini masters to instructors Mini Masters Camps will introduce your child to the rules and etiquette of golf, along with full swing and short game FUNdamentals. If parents are unsure of which level is most appropriate for their child please contact our Head Professional Joey Pavone at 905-500-4653. What is the cost of the camp? Mini Masters Pre Junior Camp = $99.00 + HST ($111.87) Beginner Camp = $220.00 +HST ($248.60) Advanced Camp = $240.00 +HST ($271.20) What is included in the cost of each camp? Group instruction each day provided by an accredited professional. Lessons will cover all aspects of the game (rules, etiquette, wood and iron play, short game, etc.). One on-course day for beginner camps and two for advanced camps. Lunch served daily A Turnberry Junior Camp hat and t-shirt. Use of clubs if required. What age do campers have to be to participate? The Mini Masters camp program is designed for children ages 4 to 7. The beginner and advanced junior camps are designed for children ages 6 to 15. Who supervises campers throughout the day? Campers will be supervised by an accredited professional. Depending on the number of participants, a councillor (adult non-golf professional) may be with the group as well. The maximum number of campers to supervisors is 8:1. What will happen if it rains while my child is at camp? Campers should be prepared to be outside, participating in golf activities in all types of weather. If campers cannot stay outside due to weather they will participate in golf related indoor activities (i.e. rules and etiquette, indoor practice, etc.). What should the campers bring with them? Clothing for any type of weather (layers are suggested) Appropriate footwear (running shoes or golf shoes) Golf clubs Water bottle Sunscreen I have registered my child for camp, now what? The week before your camp session you will receive an e-mail from us. This e-mail will provide information about pick-up/drop-off, instructors for the week, suggested items to pack and any other information that will help you prepare for your week at Golf Camp!
