Half Backs Rugby - Assistant Coach
Half Backs provide a fun, active and engaging environment for children aged two to six to
develop fundamental movement and social skills through rugby union themed games.
We aim to be the physical activity of choice, for children aged two to six, by providing
professionally run, safe and educational early years development through rugby union in an
outdoors setting and to be an active part of the local community both on and off line.
In order to deliver this lead coaches are expected to:


Set up and pack up equipment as per session requirements
Have a good understanding of Half Backs session plans

Support Lead Coach with delivery of a high quality session



Deliver a high standard of customer service to all Half Backs and their parents
Be aware of important Half Backs updates i.e. prices and term dates
Be active on social media promoting Half Backs
The skills and attributes we are looking for in our Assistant Coach are:

Experienced sports coach, Teacher or parent


RFU qualified coach, DBS checked and first aid trained – or willing to become so
Experience in working with children, preferable experience working with early years


Organised and Professional
Passionate about rugby, sport and children being healthy, happy and active.


Reliable
Fantastic working as part of a team
Assistant Coaches will receive £20 per session worked inclusive of set up and pack up.
All Half Backs coaches are self-employed and are therefore responsible for invoicing Half
Backs management at the end of each month.
