The Pediatric Practice Managers Alliance (PPMA) is
an AAP Subcommittee of the Section on
Administration and Practice Management (SOAPM),
created with the purpose to empower Pediatric
Practice Administrators and Managers to overcome
many of the day-to-day challenges of running a
medical private practice. We hope that in using our
collective knowledge and available resources, we
can help our medical groups become effective,
efficient and profitable medical practices.

PPMA members have access to the AAP Practice
Support Page on the AAP Website. The Practice
Support Page is the “virtual home” for practice
managers seeking practice management information.

The PPMA consists of over 100 members throughout
the country who share their practical advice and
experience to enrich the delivery of pediatric services

infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
Who can join PPMA?
Membership to the PPMA Membership is available
to:
 Pediatric Practice Managers and
Administrators who are sponsored by an AAP
Fellow.
 Non-Practice Administrators who are intimately
related to pediatric practice management.
PPMA and SOAPM LISTSERV©
PPMA Members have access to the PPMA Listserv©
(Basic Membership) and the SOAPM Listserv©
(Platinum Membership) . The PPMA and SOAPM
Listserv© is an electronic mailing list of pediatricians
and practice managers used to share practice
management ideas. The PPMA and SOAPM Listserv©
is also used for advice, PPMA members can post
questions and get, in essence, free consulting advice
as well as other resources such as forms, protocols
and advertising ideas.
PPMA Monthly Newsletter
PPMA members receive a copy of the PPMA Monthly
Newsletter, which provides timely updates on the latest
practice management news.
Practice Management Webinars
PPMA members can attend a monthly webinar that
discusses various Practice Management topics at no
cost.
AAP NCE Practice Management Programs
PPMA Members have access to courses on issues
related to practice management at the AAP National
Conference and Exhibition (NCE). Sessions include
