Enter NZ Squash Grade in ‘Official Grade’ on entry form. If students do not have an
official NZ Squash Grade, please enter an estimated grade under ‘Unofficial Grade’
on Entry Form.
$15.00 per competitor - Schools will be invoiced after the event.
Teams
Teams will consist of 3 competitors.
1 reserve is allowed per team.
Composite teams: This year we will once again include composite teams only for
those schools who aren’t able to enter a team of 3 (i.e. individual entry will be
accepted, dependant on the availability of other players to make up a team)
Schools may enter more than one team (subject to court availability, second teams
may be balloted out).
Boys and Girls Competitions are separate.
Players must play in order according to their grade/ability.
2 levels of competition available for graded and ungraded players (as below).
Grade A teams are for A-F grade but may include ungraded players to make up a team
- please enter an estimated grade on the entry form.
Grade B is for ungraded players.
Grades
Boys: Grade A - A to F Grade
Boys: Grade B – Ungraded players
Girls: Grade A - A to F Grade
Girls: Grade B – Ungraded players
Competition Each tie consists of 3 matches (1 match per team member).
Each match is best of 5 games

Tournament Rules
1. Playing Order: 2, 1, 3.
2. Referee order: Players to referee and mark match immediately after playing, with last
players officiating in the first match.
3. Collect Team Result sheet, score sheet and match ball from the Tournament Control
desk. Team Result sheet must be fully completed and signed by team captain/manager
then returned to Tournament Controller at completion of the tie. Failure to do so may
result in teams being defaulted.
4. Dunlop double or single yellow dot balls will be used for all open graded games. Blue dot
may be used for ungraded player games. Balls will be given to team managers / coaches
and will be the responsibility of that person for the duration of the event.
5. Non marking shoes to be worn. No caps to be worn on court.
6. Protective eyewear is compulsory in all divisions
7. Schools/players will need to provide/source their own eyewear.
8. School Sport Uniform must be worn.
9. All games will be played according to the NZ Squash Racquets association competition
rules.
10. Each individual match shall be the best of 5 games. Point-A-Rally scoring to 15 with a
clear two point lead to determine the winner.
One competition point shall be awarded for each match won plus a bonus point for the
winning team. The team winning the most competition points shall win the round. In
the event of two teams finishing on the same number of points, the winner of the
respective tie between the two teams shall win the round.
In the event of more than two teams finishing the round with the same number of
points, a count back on the games and points differentials will be taken.
Any disputes to be referred to the Tournament Controllers.
11. Court Etiquette: Specifically there will be no swearing, loss of temper or arguing with the
umpire. Players have the opportunity only at the end of a point about which they are
unhappy to appeal. The referee’s decision is final.
