The treasurer must also oversee financial statement and completion sent to the AMHA treasurer, along with 50/50 documents Tournaments on AMHA Website Electronic registration and payment are now available on-line, as well as current updates Tournament dates Referees: As soon as your game schedule is done, send a copy to the Tournament Director who willl get refs assigned. You will be given a copy of refs for each game. Minimum 10 days notice required to assign refs. List of things that should be included in a program: a) President’s letter b) Mayor’s letter – both a and b must be on first or second page c) List your tournament committee d) Team rosters and pictures e) List teams in pools or groups f) Schedule g) Rules and regulations h) Scoreboard i) Maps j) Referee’s signals k) Sponsors l) Phone numbers and addresses to arenas m) List restaurants, hotels, walk-in clinics, hospital, grocery stores Sponsorship Standard sponsors of AMHA will be posted in Tournament program Tournament sponsors will be posted at each arena for each individual tournament Confirm Ice: Ice is to be set aside for each tournament, please confirm with either Trevor Bamford, Lisa at MSA or Laura at Center Ice to confirm all ice requirements asap. Center Ice will be requesting each tournament give them a $250.00 post dated cheque for damage. Before the start of each game, each day, go through each dressing room/washroom with the staff at CI to look for any damage. Also CI has requested that we be responsible for the children of the spectators for the tournament. For example “the elevator is not the latest ride at the PNE nor is the second floor the track to let children run their energy off”. And lastly CI has requested “the building offices at CI are no longer available to lend out their photocopier, tape, scissors, stapler and any other office equipment”. It is up to you to follow all gaming rules. Go to http://www.pssg.gov.bc.ca/gaming to register, cost is $10.00. You can pay with credit card. You may be able to get a D license which is $10.00 depends on your prices. As per gaming license, keep listing of all 50/50 winners in book (attached) and on poster board hanging at rink Treasurer: Set up a budget for tournament – talk to last year’s tournament treasurer Two signers on each tournament account, one if the treasurer the other is tournament chair. Letter required for opening of bank account can be provided from Tournament Director AMHA treasurer, Tami Watt, would like the financial report to be detailed. Please do not lump together lots of items Trophies and Prizes: All tournaments must have championships trophy for 1st place as well as player trophies Anything with the AMHA logo must be ordered through AMHA approved vendors. List will be on AMHA website Youth friendly and non controversial logo’s AMHA logo not to be altered All in house trophies are to be updated by committee and returned to MSA for display immediately after being updated. This might also require purchasing another trophy. Game sheets: Out of town teams must supply 3 game sheets to tournament committee before tournament starts to check rostering Game numbers come out from the Tournament Director. Any unused game numbers must be returned back to the Tournament Director Game sheets should be pre-printed with the date, rink, level, team names and game numbers. If you would like to pre-print all teams with labels, copy a set for each game. Confirm with all teams that they have sent in their current roster with all Affiliated Players listed. A player not listed on the team roster can result in a team forfeiting a game. After tournament, all white and yellow copies of game sheets must be forwarded to the Managing Director of PCAHA within 48 hours. If the team is not part of Pacific Coast, they must give you a Letter of Permission from their association, these are to be kept in the rink binder. US teams must supply us with a USA Hockey Travel Permit. All Abbotsford teams must get a Tournament Permission slip for their own tournament as well from PCAHA. Media Must contact Henry Wilsenack – AMHA Media Co-ordinator. Tournament Director will supply email and phone number. Midget Memorial Tournament – Diane Andersen One minute of silence for this tournament. Memorial in regards with Diane Andersen. Bantam Tier 1 Tournament – Dallas Saunders Award Peewee Ice Breaker Tournament – Gary Reddekopp and Peter Kaayk Inspirational Memorial Awards: The Gary Reddekopp/Peter Kaayk International Memorial Award is awarded to three Abbotsford players, one selected from each division, to honor and remember two role modes to our community that inspired us all. These awards are presented to all three players after the final A division game. Members from the Kaayk and Redekopp family are invited to hand out this award. Insert for the program must be included. Once your Tournament is over: Send summary of tournament to Tournament director Copy of financial Report goes to AMHA Treasurer, and one copy to Tournament Director. Send Tournament director final game scores, required for the PCAHA Tournament Report Form. Send in financials and 50/50 report to AMHA treasurer
