First Street, Roslyn Date of Exhibit: November 14, 2016 – January 12, 2017 Submission Deadline: Thursday, November 10, 2016 The Roslyn Library’s next Art in our Library exhibit will feature art that employs paper as the primary artistic medium using a wide range of techniques, such as folded, cut, glued, molded, stitched, or layered paper. Examples include Chinese papercutting, origami, paper collage, and quilling (shown above). As the title suggests, the exhibit will also feature rock art. Submissions may include painted rocks or small cairns or sculptures. Submission Criteria and Guidelines • Two dimensional pieces should be framed or matted and include hanging hardware. • Three dimensional pieces should be no bigger than 2 cubic feet and include the means to display the piece by hanging or free-standing. • Submissions must be accompanied by a signed submission form. • Artists assume all liability for their submitted works. • Artists are responsible for picking up their items at the end of the exhibit.
