• Every senior should have the same
opportunity as every adult in school to
have their own parking space.
• Seniors with cars find it difficult to find parking
space by the school campus
• Space that is found is usually too far away
• Seniors looking for parking space get to school
late
• Sometimes their cars are vandalized and even
stolen.
• Must be a senior (with senior credits)
• Maintain above a 3.0 G.P.A throughout
their high school years
• Have a drivers license/permit
• Have a car
• 45% don’t drive and do not have a permit
– 35% above 3.0
– 65% below 3.0
• 13% drive and do have a permit
– 32% above 3.0
– 68below 3.0
– 90% are mostly tardy
• 37% drive and don’t have permit

• Must be a senior or junior
• Students have their designated area
• Vehicle must have a parking sticker ($5.00
fee)
• No parking on the staff or visitors parking
lot
• School is not responsible for vandalizing

• By creating this policy, it will give students a
motivation to improve their grades , keep their
merits high and get a license/permit, so that by
senior year they can have their own parking
spot.
• It will also ease the burden of a student driver ,
who struggles day in and day out trying to find
parking.
But where can they make a
student parking lot at Bell
Gardens High School???
• By removing the tennis courts and outdoor
basketball courts , it will give plenty of room to
make a student parking lot.
• It won’t even cause any dilemma in the school.
• We don’t have a tennis team
• The PE classes can use the small gym or big
gym to play basketball.
• It’s a perfect solution.
• We petitioned this idea to Principal Chavez, and
he said that it is a great idea.
• He said that it would bring a solution to the no
parking that students endure.
• Our main goal as a group is to have an impact
on future generations.
• We don’t want future seniors to endure the same
problems we have faced due to the lack of no
student parking.
• It will bring a great deal of positive impact to the
school, and to the students.
• Knowledge: We learned that student parking is
a necessity for many student drivers at Bell
Gardens High school.
• Skills: We learned to be more organized and
work as a team to get the project done
• Attitude: We always had a positive attitude as a
group. Good teamwork !!
