Who to speak to
Friday 9th September
It has been an excellent start to the new
school year. The children have come back
with a very positive attitude to their
learning and have settled quickly into their
new classes.
We hope that you have all managed to
read out Ofsted report from when they
came to visit the school in July. We are so
proud of all the children for the wonderful
impression they made. The school has
come a huge way since we joined in
December 2014.

Ofsted July 2016
Toys etc. from home
”Outstanding leadership and
management have successfully renewed
the school’s sense of purpose. Staff are
united in their drive to ensure that pupils
make rapid progress from their starting
points. “
We would like to remind you that
children should not be bringing toys
and games from hoe into school.
These can be a distraction and
sometimes get lost or broken. Please
support the school by speaking with
your child and ensuring they don’t
bring these types of things in. Thank
you.
“The highly effective leadership of the
executive and associate headteachers has
led to significant improvement in the
quality of teaching and in pupils’
outcomes.”
“The school community is calm and
purposeful. Pupils’ very positive attitudes
to their learning play a significant part in
the good progress they make. “
“Phonics (letters and the sounds that they
make) is well taught. Pupils’ progress is
checked frequently, with the resulting
information being used promptly to adjust
pupils’ groups. This ensures that pupils
receive the right level of challenge.”
“Whatever their role, adults engage very
effectively with children in the Nursery and
Reception classes. Their questioning
promotes children’s deeper thinking and
creativity. They judge exceptionally well
when to intervene and when to support
children’s development of resilience, by
allowing them to tackle challenges on their
own. “
Packed Lunches
Can we please remind you that the
children need to have a healthy
packed lunch. Some examples are
sandwiches such as cheese or
chicken, pasta salad, fruit, yoghurt,
flapjack.
