Central Freight Lines Dallas - Ready to Make the Move
As a result of the changing vision for the area surrounding the current Dallas Terminal,
which includes the continuing expansion of the light rail construction across the property,
Central is relocating our terminal to a site that will better service our customer base in
Dallas. The new terminal allows for projected growth and expansion while providing optimal
use of the more efficient dock configuration for the current freight flow.
This new terminal will provide a better work environment for all employees. The existing
terminal served our company well for many years. The inefficiencies and escalating cost of
maintenance prompted the move as well as the surrounding DOT construction issues that
continued to plague the site and lower productivity - disrupting customer service.
Robin Burkart, Dallas Terminal Manager has targeted January 21 for the move.
Access to major highways is improved as is the ability to continue to provide a Best in Class
product to our valued Dallas customers. All personnel, equipment along with the shop will
be transitioned to the new location.
