Here are a few of my personal tips to help make this soirée a night to remember! Please look this hostess packet over and call me
with any questions. My goal, aside from giving you and your friends the party of the year, is to earn you as much FREE
PRODUCT as possible.
 Show me the money! Let’s talk about what you get, aside from a night of laughter and fun!
You get 10% of party sales in FREE PRODUCT. So if you have $1000 in sales, you get $100 in free products. You
get a FREE gift just for letting me in the door as a hostess incentive. You get thank you gifts at various sales levels.
 Go ahead and invite all your friends to guarantee the highest amount of success for the party. More people will equal
more excitement for everyone! And more orders result in much more free product for you, the hostess! Attendees need
not be best buds with you. You will be surprised to find out how many gals who don’t know you well are happy to
attend because they’ve heard about our parties and just want to attend.
 Pay today, play today. Remind guests that they will be taking their purchases home that night, if possible, so they
should come ready to “Pay today, play today!” If I don’t have a product with me, it will be mailed directly to the
person who ordered it in a discreet package, not the hostess. I do not put “Pure Romance” anywhere on the outside of
the envelope. I accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, & Discover. I do not accept checks.
 Outside orders! Anyone who can’t attend can place an outside order any time before your party. See the “Tips for
collecting outside orders” page.
 MOST IMPORTANT!!! This is a “girl’s night in” so that we can laugh, learn and have fun together.
WITH ANY PURE ROMANCE PARTY, THERE CAN BE NO MEN OR CHILDREN (EVEN SWEET
LITTLE BABIES) IN THE HOUSE OR ON THE PROPERTY. THIS IS PURE ROMANCE POLICY AND
VIRGINIA LAW.

 Location is important. You may have considered holding this big bash at a bar or outside location. But experience has
proven that this is not the best choice. The best place would be someone’s home with adequate space for all your guests.
Pub parties are generally loud and uncontrolled, not to mention that with the lack of a secure location, obnoxious
‘peeping-tom’ men can be unexpected pests that ruin it for everyone. I will need a private ordering room separate from
where the party will be so guests can order confidentially and a small table to set up with.
 Make a WISH-list. Please no Outside Gifts. If you’re having this party for a birthday or bachelorette party, please
don’t tell your guests to bring other gifts for the bachelorette or birthday girl. The reason you are having this party is to
allow me to help the attendees to supply the bachelorette or birthday girl with all her party needs and beyond. I
promise to provide great entertainment if you will promise to help encourage sales. Please see the WISHLIST attached.
This will add to the hostess credit, too, so you can get even more free product!!
 Please fill out your wish list and get it back to me in a timely manner (preferable a week or two in advance) so I can
have most, if not all, of what you want available at the party.
 Let’s talk about the STRIPPER!! If you aren’t having a stripper, then you can skip this part. If you are having one,
then PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!! I require a block of 3-4 hours from the beginning of my presentation to when
the stripper arrives. I absolutely cannot conduct my presentation if the stripper is present for any part of it. It is
against Pure Romance policy to have any men at our parties, and yes – the stripper counts! This is vital to the success
of your party. Plus, who could concentrate on me with a gorgeous man in the room!
 And please let me know if you want Mild, Wild or somewhere in between! I am fully capable of tailoring the party to
your guests’ tastes.
 Eat, drink & be merry! Eats and drinks play an important part in your show as well. Keep it simple. Finger foods are
best. We will be passing around items, tasting items, smelling items, writing and moving around. These are all things
difficult to do with a fork in one hand.
 Let’s play fair! Please remind your guests to be prompt. Once I have begun my demonstration, I will not be able to
start over, review items missed by late arrivals, or pause to take orders from guests who cannot stay to order. We want
to be fair to all your guests. So it is best to tell everyone the show starts 30 minutes before what you and I agreed
upon. For any guest that may need to leave early, you can take her order before the show and it will count towards to
your total sales.

Checklist for a Successful Party

*Get everyone to be on time! Tell them your party starts 30 minutes earlier than the actual party time! Ex:
Party at 7pm BUT Invites say 6:30pm!*
2 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR PARTY:

I will send all the invitations (Remember, all ladies must be over the age of 18 & NO MEN).
Make sure to send me your entire guest list ASAP (30-40 is our goal) Remember to over-invite; only ¼ of those invited will be able
to attend! Don’t be afraid to offend anyone! Oddly enough, people are more offended if they don’t get an invitation. Let them
decide if they’re ready to spice up their life, you might be surprised. Parties are most fun when at least 10 – 15 are present.
♥ Mail catalogs to out of town friends and family. If they order online, they must order on my website and email me with their
confirmation so it counts towards your FREE PRODUCT.
♥ Give catalogs to guests who can’t attend, they’ll still want to spice up their love life! We have something for everyone, from
bubble bath and candles to lingerie and the exotic!
1 WEEK BEFORE YOUR PARTY:

Remind friends, if they bring a friend they will get a free gift. Bring 3 friends and they’ll get 10% off their order.
I will call you just to check in and see if you need any help with anything or have any questions.
1-2 DAYS BEFORE YOUR PARTY:
♥ Call everyone to remind them of our party date and time. You can blame it on me; tell them the Romance lady needs to know so
she can have plenty of everything!
♥ Get a final headcount. There is nothing worse than worrying whether people are going to show up. Get a confirmation so you
know how to plan your snacks/beverages and I can plan for games/prizes.
♥ I will call you to confirm your party and get directions to your home.

I will arrive 20-30 minutes earlier than party time to set up. Please try to save me a parking spot close to the door since I will
have numerous bins full of fun to unload.
Have a room for confidential ordering available (maybe a spare bedroom, etc).
PLEASE make sure all MEN, CHILDREN, & BABIES (even precious babies) are out of the WHOLE house for the WHOLE
PARTY! Pure Romance Corporate office has strict rules regarding this and many states have laws that consider it solicitation to
minors and men.
Men are welcome to place orders before or after the party presentation.

TIPS FOR COLLECTING OUTSIDE ORDERS:
 Increase your show’s sales and FREE SHOPPING AMOUNT
 Allow others who can’t come to order or book a show
Once all you invitations are sent out call the ladies a couple of days later to make sure they received theirs. If they
cannot make it to your show, make sure you let them know they don’t have to miss out on your awesome product line.
You can take an outside order and this goes toward your party sales total. In fact, for every $150 in outside orders, you
may receive the item of your choice at 50% off and watch your shopping spree GROW and GROW!
Following these suggestions will help make your show successful:
1. Total each order (subtotal), add $6.00 shipping and handling. THEN add 5% tax on the total of sale +S/H. Pay
total (Sale + S/H + Tax= Total to pay)
2. I accept Visa, MasterCard & Discover if ordered online, in person or over the phone... May also pay by cash. They
can place their orders in a sealed envelope for privacy so they don’t have to share what they’re ordering with the
hostess.
3. I will send the customer their receipts and purchases directly, not to the hostess unless they ask otherwise! Again,
ordering is private!

enough free products to get you everything on your list for FREE!
If this party is just for FUN, this list is to help make every night feel like a night to remember! E-mail or mail this list
to me 2 weeks prior to your party that way I will have it available the night of your party. These are items you want to
purchase with your FREE PRODUCT or use your discount from outside orders!
If this party is for a birthday girl or bachelorette, have her make a wish list of items so that your girlfriends can shop
easily for her! I will post this list in my ordering room (or just the totals of the items if you prefer) so your friends can purchase
items for her! Again, I need this at least 2 weeks prior to have items the night of the party.

40 GUESTS IN 4 MINUTES
4 Relatives
4 Friends
4 Co-workers
4 Neighbors
4 Church or social group contacts
4 Contacts through children
4 Places you do business (bank, post office)
4 People who owe you a favor
4 significant other co-workers
4 People you haven’t seen for a while
Remember, no one is ever insulted by an invitation!
And a personal invitation first is usually best! The more the merrier- I reward those who bring a guest and you earn more free
