Dear Fourth Grade Families,
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Elysabeth Campbell (Soon to be
Mrs. O’Hearn) and I am honored to be your child’s fourth grade teacher. I am excited to grow and learn
with your child in the year ahead. We have a lot of exciting material to learn this year!
This will be my fourth year teaching, as I am a 2013 graduate of the iTeachAZ program at Arizona
State University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelors of Arts and Elementary Education.
My first year of teaching was at the Queen Creek campus of EDUPRIZE and I am thrilled to be
starting my fourth year at Gilbert EDUPRIZE.
In the year ahead we will be exploring four cottages. They will include: Grand Canyon Marketplace,
Reptile Ranch, Conservation Plantation, and Arizona Highways.
If you have expertise in a specific field and would like to volunteer, please let me know. Volunteers are
encouraged to be a part of EDUPRIZE. Working with students and teachers is a very rewarding
experience as well as extremely helpful. I will have a form available during Open House on Monday,
July 24.
Our Open House is the perfect opportunity for you and your child to see the new classroom, meet new
classmates, drop off supplies, and pick up important information, including carpooling. At that time you
can also pay for the planner and magazine subscription for $10 with cash or check (payable EDUPRIZE).
Our suggested time is at 2:30pm, however, if you cannot make it at that time, our classroom will be
open from 8:00am to 4:00pm to drop off supplies and pick up paperwork. Please check our website at
www.eduprizeschools.net for any changes in schedules. While online, please complete and print the Open
House Forms, which include Emergency Documents, and bring them with you!
The first day of school is Wednesday, July 26. In order to be considered enrolled at EDUPRIZE,
your child must be on time and present the entire day. Rest assured, on the first day of school I will
greet your child outside (on the basketball court between buildings 1 and 2; look for the number 55) and
guide him/her to the new classroom! Our PM TOPS – Technology schedule begins each day at 11:00am
and ends at 4:10pm. Our classroom is in Building 2, Room 55.
I believe that parent-teacher relationships are necessary for maximum student success. Throughout
the year, I will communicate with parents through newsletters, e-mails, report cards, and parentteacher conferences. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time.
I consider it a great privilege and responsibility to be your child’s teacher. I look forward to meeting
each of you.
