Home Run Derby

Fantasy Football
Overview
 DMACC Fantasy Football will use the Yahoo! Sports website.
 It is a free game that will give you the chance to manage your own team of
professional football players from the opening kickoff right through the playoffs.
 Teams will be playing for a Campus Recreation T-Shirt.
 The goal is to put the best team on the field each week.
 Yahoo! Sports will gather all the statistics, computing point totals, and updating
standings.
Auto Pick Draft
 The DMACC Fantasy Football league will conduct an auto pick draft.
 The auto pick system first selects the highest-rated available player (preranking/default rankings).
 After all the starting positions are filled, the system then will determine a list of
bench players based on the number starters at a position vs. the overall roster size.
 The system then selects the highest-rated available player (pre-ranking then
default rankings) that can play one of the bench positions.
Scoring
 The DMACC Fantasy Football league will use a head-to-head scoring system.
 Fantasy points are awarded based on how your players perform in each statistical
category.
 All real-life statistics have associated point values, and each player’s points are
summed up to produce your weekly total.
Transaction Deadlines
 The deadline to complete all transactions (trade, waiver claims, and free agent
claims) for a given week is 11:59 pm PT every Sunday.
 However, you can only add players to your active roster for the current week if
the transaction is completed NO LATER THAN 5 MINUTES BEFORE THE
START OF THE PALYER’S GAME.
 YOU ARE ALLOWED to make transactions involving your bench players at any
time during the week.
 Additionally, all intra-roster moves (switching players between active and bench
spots) can be made until 5 minutes before the start of each player’s game.
 Also, there is a trading deadline. Click on the “League Settings” link from your
league homepage to view the configuration of your league.
 Trade deadlines do not impact the ability to add players via waivers for free
agency.
Trading Players
 A trade consists of one manager exchanging a player with another manager in the
same league.
 To propose a trade, go to your team page and select “propose trade,” which allows
you to select the team and player(s) you want to trade. An email will be sent to the
other manager offering your proposed trade.
 That manager can then accept it, decline it, or make a counter offer
 There must be consent from both managers for a trade to be completed. If there is
no action within in 10 days, the offer will automatically be cancelled.
 If a counter offer is made, you’ll receive an email detailing the new proposal.
 If the offer is accepted, the league commissioner (the Intramural & Facility
Specialist) will review the deal.
 The Commissioner has veto power for the length of time chosen during
configuration.
Free Agents
 All unowned players who have cleared waivers are free agents and are on a first –
come, first-serve basis.
 You can pick up or drop players by simply clicking the “Pick Up Player” or
“Drop Player” links located near the top of your team page.
 All claimed players are immediately added to your bench.
 You can drop players without replacing them, but you can only pick up players
without dropping anyone if you are under the maximum number of players on
your roster.
Tiebreak System
 If, at the end of the season, two or more players finish with the same overall
record, the following system will be used to break the tie:
1. Overall winning percentage
2. Fantasy points scored
3. Fantasy Points scored in individual weeks 1-17
4. Random coin flip
 In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the following system will be used:
1. Most touchdowns
2. Most fantasy points by a starting quarterback
3. Most fantasy points by a starting defensive team
4. Most fantasy points by a starting wide receiver
5. Most fantasy points by a starting running back
6. Most fantasy points by a starting tight end
7. Most fantasy points by a starting kicker
8. Random coin flip
 Notes
1. When breaking a tie in a playoff game, the only statistics used will be from
that specific game.
2. For any end-of-season ties, the final week of your league’s regular season will
be the first week used to break the deadlock.
