Pink Stumps Day Key Messages

Thank you!
Thank you for registering to host your own Pink Stumps Day! It’s the easiest way to bring the magic
of the Pink Test into your own community, while raising funds to help families experiencing breast
cancer have access to a McGrath Breast Care Nurse.
You’re part of an elite group of people who have been holding a Pink Stumps Days since 2009. With
your help, our aim this year is to raise $1.3 million, enabling us to fund existing McGrath Breast Care
Nurses and place new ones in communities of high need.
And because you’re supporting us, we’ll support you. Here you’ll find some tips and tricks for sharing
your event with your community and getting people excited about helping you raise funds, whether
on social media or talking to – gulp – ‘the media’! We can’t wait to see the results of your hard
work!
A quick note: you’ll find links to template media releases. You can fill in the blanks to let people
know what’s happening with your event. We’ve also included some information that explains Pink
Stumps Day, what the McGrath Foundation does, and where to go for more info. Make sure you
include these, so everyone knows why you’re holding your Pink Stumps Day!
Pink Stumps Day Key Messages
Key messages are handy reminders you can include in any of your communications about your
event. They don’t need to be written word for word, and they don’t all need to be included all the
time. But by bearing these in mind, you’ll make sure that your Pink Stumps Day is consistent with
every other event happening around the country – and that everyone knows why you’re going pink
and raising money for the McGrath Foundation.
