Schedules: First game schedule will be posted on our

Thank you for registering to play in CYBL’s upcoming season! Below you will find a brief explanation of the dates listed under CYBL’S important
league dates. Please read through this entire letter as confusion during the season can be prevented by simply reading the entire welcome letter.
Your Season will include 10 guaranteed games which will be played on Saturdays. All home games will be played at school gyms within your
registered school district. Minimal traveling may apply in all divisions.
Schedules: First game schedule will be posted on our website no later than on the night of the date listed. Click on “Schedules” from your areas home page,
click on your child’s registered division. Schedules will be posted under team name chosen by your coach or the coach’s last name. Schedule changes can occur
throughout the season. Please check our website periodically. Game times will vary from 8am – 8pm. If you do not have web access to view schedules for
changes, you can contact your coach or the CYBL office. We will be happy to confirm game times with you. Full schedule will be posted no later than date listed.
Game schedule for ALL teams competitive & non-competitive will be posted up until playoffs. See playoff/championship/consolation game info below. Double
headers may be held throughout the season (where teams play up to two games on a Saturday). Please review the schedule once posted to confirm double
headers for your team. Double headers may not be scheduled at the same location, traveling may be involved to a different gym for the double header game.
Traveling: Will consist of minimal away games on Saturday's throughout the season to play against teams on their home court. Traveling may apply to those
combined divisions and may consist of traveling to play against other CYBL leagues. Notification of traveling is confirmed with coaches, indicated on flyers and at
skill evaluations. To confirm whether your team travels out of the area you may call us, email us or contact your coach. ALL DIVISIONS have the possibility of
traveling.
Contacted by your Childs Coach: Players will be contacted by their coach by the date listed. When contacted by your coach, please be sure to write down and
save your coach’s name and phone number. This will help when checking the website for your child’s game schedule as it will be listed under either the coach’s
last name. Also, ask about practice (i.e. when, where and what time to meet). If you do not hear from your coach by the date listed, it’s likely that a volunteer
coach is still needed for your child’s division. Our website will indicate if a volunteer coach is still needed for your child’s division. We update our website
immediately once a coach is found. If you are interested in volunteering to coach please call our office ASAP. If you’ve followed the above procedures and are still
unsure as to why a coach has not contacted you by the date listed, please contact us as soon as possible. This may not apply to late registrants who register after
the registration deadline. Those players may not be contacted by the date listed and may miss their first practice.
Practice: Team practices are a crucial part of your CYBL season. Practices will be one night a week in the evenings. They will be held at school gyms within
your registered school district. Practice locations are NOT determined by where you reside or where your player goes to school. Please be prepared to travel
within the local area/city for practices held one night a week. Day, time and location will depend on what the coach selects from the practice availability. *CYBL
provides one night of practice per week. Coaches are welcome to practice more and may begin practice sooner than the week listed above if they wish. Outdoor
practices are welcome. If you are unable to attend a scheduled practice, please notify your coach. Your players’ individual playing time may be affected if he/she
does not attend practice. It is pertinent that you communicate with your coach if for any reason you are unable to attend. Please be sure to follow gym use
etiquette. Utilization of indoor gym use is a privilege. Respecting school property will be strictly enforced. Misuse and or damage at school facilities resulting in
gym cancellation, may result in game cancellation with a forfeit reflecting on your teams record. Games may not be replayed and no refunds will be given for
cancelled games. Practices will be a set day and time. Time may vary anywhere from 6pm-9pm with last practices beginning as late as 8:10pm. (This applies to
all grade levels pre-k through HS.) *Practices may be cancelled and/or rescheduled due to last minute school district cancellations. No refunds will be given for
cancelled practices. Practices may be held outdoors during the months of June, July & August due to school closures for summer vacation. Practice gyms may
be shared with 2-4 teams per gym per hour depending on gym site. Additional gym space may be available at a minimal rate per hour/per team. Some sites may
charge a spectator entrance fee per person for practice. All coaches will be notified if a charge will be assessed.
Non-Competitive: Includes Pre-k/Kind & 1st /2nd Grades. This division is co-ed & strictly instructional. Games are played on Saturdays. Coaches are on the
court with the kids along with a CYBL referee. The non-comp division is allotted 1 hour. The first 15 minutes the players will practice and warm up with their team
and play in a game the remaining 45 minutes. The non-competitive divisions may be combined to form a division depending on the amount of registrants.
Uniform Handout: Please mark your calendar with the date indicated to pick up your child’s uniform. Uniforms cannot be exchanged once worn, and can only be
exchanged, if the size needed is available & no later than the second week of the season. It is your responsibility to pick up your players uniform at the designated
handout. Please check with our office ASAP for a missed pickup location we “may” possibly schedule in the future. Players will not be able to play in their
scheduled game without a CYBL uniform. It is imperative that you pick your players uniform up on the scheduled uniform handout date. If you would like to have a
friend pick up your players uniform you must send written permission in order for them to pick it up. (NO EXCEPTIONS). CYBL uniform includes a light weight
reversible jersey and shorts.
Picture Day: Pictures are typically scheduled in the morning on Picture Day. Please be aware that your team picture time may not be close to your game time.
