Draw and write down the function of each tool in the tool
bar. This will help you with learning how to use Serif.

In this task you will
learn how to:
• use the quick
shapes tool
• draw freehand
• layer objects
• rotate objects
• create a graphic
drawing of a dragon

1. Firstly, draw a circle using the shape tool in the quick shape box
2. Repeat the process until you get an eye ball. Each circle needs to get smaller. Use the Fill Tool to add colour

3. Use the freehand drawing tool to create the top of the dragon’s head (the shape of the head is
drawn like a chicken drumstick.) Then colour/fill this in using either red or an effect of your choice.
4. To arrange the head underneath the eye, use the top toolbar – click on arrange > order objects
> send to back.

5. Use the freehand drawing tool to create the top of the dragon’s nose (drawn like a sausage)
Then colour/fill this using either dark red or an effect available in SerifDraw.
6. Draw a circle for the nostril placing this on the end of the dragon nose.

7. Use the freehand drawing tool to create the gums. A sausage
shape again. Arrange the gums in place and send to back.
8. Draw a tooth, then copy and paste to create a full set of teeth.

9. Copy and paste the row of teeth and turn them upside down using the rotate tool.
10. Draw the bottom of the jaw, using the freehand tool, something similar to the shape a pipe.

11. Add further detail for example horns, neck and tongue to achieve the final appearance of the dragon.

Print your Dragon off and stick it in the space…..just like above
