The Emergency Response Unit (ERU) Competitive Call is being published in accordance with Legal Notice 350 of 2016 –
Emergency Procurement Regulations, 2016

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
I.
Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC) OR Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) (or Mockup when not available) OR product
literature are to be supplied for each item on offer.
II.
For medical materials and surgical devices kindly present the Declaration of Conformity.
III.
Delivery period should be within 7 Working Days from Confirmation of Order. However if no contractor can meet this
requirement the CPSU may consider otherwise.
IV.
Quotations received without delivery time frames are considered to be in line with the above delivery time frames (7
days). Offers stating delivery details as ‘to be supplied upon request’ shall not be considered.
V.
Payment terms for this Competitive Call are thirty (30) days from receipt of goods.
VI.
If a consignment is not delivered within the stated delivery, ERU reserves the right to cancel part/all order.

Full list of bidders shall be published on the CPSU Website for each Competitive Call being issued by CPSU. List of Bidders shall be
published prior to the commencement of the evaluation of the offers submitted.
Following the conclusion of the adjudication process, CPSU shall publish the Adjudication Result on the CPSU Website.
CPSU shall publish a list of all awards on The Malta Government Gazette and the CPSU website as per Legal Notice 350 of 2016.

Crepe Bandages Sz5cm
Each bandage is to be one continuous length with no joints with fast woven edges and individually wrapped.
The bandage is to be made up of 65% cotton and 35% polyamide as follows:
i.
The warp of the bandage to be made of polyamide with a yarn count 7.8f 13 x 2cm, number of threads 158 +/2, catch thread (crochet) 7.8f 17xl.
ii.
The weft threads of the bandage to be made of natural fibre cotton with a yarn count of 50 x 1cms, number of
threads 45 double picks +/- 2.

The bandage should conform well and be mouldable on conical and round parts of the body.
It should not constrict mobility, be resistant to ageing, and resistant to ointments.
Bandage should produce adequate compression and support.
Tenderer must ensure and supply documentation that Classification of bandage is in accordance with the Medical
Devices Act pursuant to the directive 93/42 EEC, Annex IX, regulation 1 for Class I.
The wrapper or container of each individual bandage is to include the following:

the type and brand of bandage
ii.
D.H. in indelible ink.
iii.
Size (length and width)
iv.
Composition of bandage
v.
Resistant to ointment
vi.
CE markings
vii.
Lot number
