GROUP EXERCISE - CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
AOA CLASSES—Our Active Older Adult
Class offerings are further detailed in our
AOA Group Exercise Schedule available at
the Membership Desk and online. Included
are the MS/Parkinson’s Exercise, Chronic
Pain Self Management Program and Arthritis Walk with Ease Program.
BOOTCAMP: This is an intense class for
the individual looking to take cardio and
strength outside the box! Training includes a
combination of plyometrics, conditioning
drills, and strength training in a circuit style.
BARRE/PILATES FUSION A challenging
and unique workout that incorporates ballet and Pilates sculpting movements. This
cross-training workout promotes balance,
flexibility, and core strength while toning
and lengthening your muscles.
CARDIO SCULPT A 45-minute cardio interval class with non-stop movements and
challenges which will shape and tone your
muscles.
CIRCUIT TRAINING Move through a variety
of body conditioning and endurance challenges and cardio circuits with an emphasis
on building core strength. This class moves
quickly and is full of variety.
CORE DYNAMICS Looking for stability and
strength? Static and Dynamic floor exercises to develop abdominal and lower back
strength with a fun twist on maximizing your
training.
HIIT is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic
and strength conditioning workout. This
interval-based class combines full-body
strength training with high intensity cardio
bursts designed to tone your body.
PILATES will focus on your body’s
“powerhouse” - the abs & back with an added twist of legs and upper body. Bring yoga
mat.
POUND® become the music in
this exhilarating full-body workout that
combines cardio, conditioning, and strength
training with yoga and Pilates. Designed for
all fitness levels, POUND® provides the
perfect atmosphere for all ages and abilities.
STRENGTH TRAIN TOGETHER will blast all
your muscles with a high-rep weight training workout. Using an adjustable barbell,
weight plates and body weight, this workout
combines squats, lunges, presses and curls,
with functional integrated exercises.
STRONG BY ZUMBA® A wild new workout
that combines interval training with the
