The Club consists of Schoolboys from Under 6’s through to Under 16’s and one (1) senior
team that compete in the Newcastle & Hunter Competition under the Magpies Logo.

Teams
All teams are in age groups from Under 6 to Under 16
Teams Under 12 & Up
All players from Under 10 & up are graded and grading takes place around the trial games.
Teams are placed in divisions based upon their abilities. Re-Grades take place after Round
3. Secretary will not ask for a re-grade unless requested by the coach of the team. ReGrades are not necessarily granted by the governing body.
Coaches
All Coaches are appointed by the Executive Committee. All coaches must have current
accreditation issued by accredited assessors i.e. Knights, CRL, ARL. If a coach is not
available for training session and/or game, they must make contact with the coaching co2
ordinator (Craig Langdon) so that alternative arrangements can be made. An accredited
coach must run training & games. Coaches must sit on the allocated bench / seat. No
coaching from the sidelines.
Team Managers
Persons can make an application to become a Team Manager and the Executive Committee
will make the final decision.
Team Managers are responsible for:
 Communicating with parents/ players regarding game and training times (on behalf of
the coach)
 Collecting game fees as set down by the club committee
 Completing fee sheets with all required information
 Completing the team book/team sheet as required
 Reporting to the Secretary of any injuries, send offs etc.
 Ensuring the team obligations are met i.e. team rosters
 Scoring and time keeping for the team
 Ensuring that 1 parent is available to be touch judge where touch judges are not
available
Leaguesafe / Trainers
All teams will have a minimum of 1 accredited League Safe personnel.
All teams from U13’s through to U15’s must have a FAO attached to their teams.
It will be the responsibility of the FAO/Trainer to carry out his/her duties as trained.
FAO/Trainers are not permitted to walk up and down the sideline. Unless treating a player or
running water, they must sit on the allocated team bench / seats.
Game Times
Mini League (U6’s – U8’s) 3 x 10 minutes
Mod League (U9’s – U12’s) 2 x 20 minutes
Internationals (U13’s – U15’s)
U13 & U14 – 2 x 25 minutes
U 16 – 2 x 30 Minutes
All players must play a minimum of 20 minutes
Know the Rules
As a Coach, Trainer, Manager or player, please make sure you know the rules of the game.

Mini & Mod Games
The same kicker cannot kick twice until after all the players on the team have had a kick
otherwise the points will not be awarded. Keep a record of all goal kickers.
Mod teams cannot interchange in the first half except in the case of an injury.
Game Fees
Mini League $2.00 per player each week
Mod League $ 3.00 per player each week
U13’s – U16’s $4.00 per player each week
All game fees are to be collected with game sheets & Ground Checklist (for each
training session) in cases provided and returned to the canteen every week.
Team Books/Sheets
All teams be provided with player photo cards. These MUST be with you at all games. If you
do not have it with you and the opposition wants to check on a player, then you will
automatically lose the game.
Score Sheets
All scores are to be recorded in the game book. At the completion of the game, the team
manager will sign the opposition book*. When playing at home the team manager is to
collect BOTH white sheets and return to canteen on the day. Tear your PINK sheet from the
book and exchange with the opposition manager.
Recording the scores is not compulsory for U6-U9.Please complete the scoreless game
sheet with the money to the canteen after the game.
*If you do not agree with the opposition score etc. do not sign the sheet. Write an
explanation of why on the back of your white team sheet. Hand in as above.
Roster Teams
All teams will be rostered on a minimum of once per season. This is vital for the smooth
running of our home games
Morning Roster Team
Volunteers are responsible for:
 Cooking BBQ
 Setting up grounds
 Assisting in the canteen
 Ground Management
Afternoon Roster Team
Volunteers are responsible for:
 Cleaning grounds
 Packing up grounds after their final games
 Cleaning dressing sheds toilets
 Assisting in the canteen and on the BBQ
 Ground Management

If the roster is not carried out the team will be forfeited the next week of
competition. THIS WILL BE ENFORCED IN 2015 as we really need your
help to ensure these days running effectively.
Canteen
Canteen team volunteer roster is in place again in 2015. All teams will be notified of their
commitment to volunteer for a short time in the canteen or bbq. If a team personnel
volunteers their own time when not rostered, extra points are awarded to that team. A prize
and trophy is awarded at the end of the season for the team with the most volunteer points.
Please sign the Canteen Roster book upon entering the canteen to ensure your team is not
penalised. Minimum of 2 parents required. Children are not permitted in the canteen.
Jerseys
Players are not to be given jumpers at any time, other than for games representing the Club.
Gear
All Club issued gear is to be cared for by the coach and / or manager and returned at the
end of the season to the Gear Steward. Times for returning gear that have been signed for
will be notified to the Coach.
Identification
All Coaches, Managers and Trainers will be provided with Identification cards at all games.
Footwear
As per CRL ruling, any person entering the field of plays i.e. Coach, Manager, Trainer MUST
have enclosed footwear
Complaints
All complaints are to be lodged on paper or via email, and a formal complaint form is
available at the canteen. Additionally, complaints are to be lodged in writing to the Secretary
– PO Box 216 Raymond Terrace 2324 or email: [email protected]
Injuries
Reports are to completed ASAP and returned to the Secretary.
Any player who has been injured and referred for medical treatment, will require a medical
certificate to return to training / playing.
Training
All training is to be carried out on the Training Fields. All Coaches / Managers are to
complete checklist prior to any training carried out and return the checklist after every
weekend game. This is for your safety.

Headgear
Headgear must be worn by all players Under 6 to Under 16. No exceptions. This is a safety
requirement of our club.

We would love to hear our teams sing our team song after every home game.
