April 7 and 23, with Garrett
4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Garrett is a very talented artist who is willing
to share his skills and enthusiasm with budding
Windhorse artists. He works in a variety of
media and helps clients create vibrant, fun
paintings.
We’ve been busy so far coming up with short
story ideas, and talked about what makes a
good story. We'll also share poetry and see if
we can get our creative juices flowing. We
will do a little brainstorming for future writing
groups, and work on outlining short stories
about our life experiences.
Hosted by Lori and Suzanne

Music and Social Club is a place to gather, play
games and share gifts (musical or otherwise),
with friends and community members. Bring a
song, poem or a joke to share. Jam with the
group or, just come by to enjoy the Social Club
“vibe”. It’s an evening of creative sharing and
fun.

Community Programs Class:
The Hero’s Journey of
Recovery
Tuesdays & Thursdays
1:30 – 3:00 p.m.
With JoAnn, Lydia and Samantha
Starts Tuesday, April 4th,
ends May 25th
Inspired by the work of Joseph Campbell, this
class walks you through the stages of the hero’s
journey as a person in recovery from mental
health challenges. Using a multi-media approach
(video clips, art, poetry, self reflection and
discussion), the workshop offers opportunities to
examine your own experiences of being the hero
in your life. The class offers opportunities for
sharing and gaining insight into your life and work
experiences. You will be transformed with new
insight, inspiration and renewal.

Windhorse Community
Service’s Annual
Diversity Dinner
In late February, we held the third annual
Diversity Dinner. The Windhorse community —
clients, families, and staff — came together to
explore and celebrate our various identities,
experiences, and perspectives. It was a great
turn out, full of thoughtful conversation. We
appreciate all who were able to attend, and
hope the tradition of Diversity Dinners continues
to deepen our compassion and understanding of
ourselves and others.
